I have never seen points given to the other team in a match before. The request that the new technology introduced was not working should not equal a red card. There should be a fail-safe if technology problems occur & the ref or line judge should intervene, not change the outcome of the game. The Mexican Ref should be embarrassed, & Japanese team should be have interjected allowing substitutions or challenges once it was clear the technology was not working correctly.
