This can be one of the safest roads if respect it but this junction is one I do try and avoid and I lived on it for 30 years. Traffic lights would help make it easier to cross. I don't know why they never did it when they put the ones at Eccles road up all those years ago

Something seriously has to change regarding this road - far to many fatalities.

This road is so horrible and has took so many life's over the years al the way down It. It really is about time something was done about it and it's horrible to think people have to lose their life's for it to change .. R.I.P Amy and Aaron took far to son think off all your family and friends most of all your little boy Alfie who now has to grow up without you but am sure all your family will make sure he will never forget you xx

Traffic lights at the junction of the East Lancs Rd and Barton Rd, are well overdue, how many more people need to lose their lives.

Come on Salford and Manchester get behind this campaign not only do we want more traffic lights more speed cameras are needed. Im a driver myself but too many people have died on this road, lets stop this and let's hope these deaths are not in vein

Something needs to be done as soon as possible - how many more lives need to be lost before action is taken. Enough lives have been taken already leaving families grieving.

If lights could have prevented this then there is no question they should be put there so Aaron and Amy's life have not been taken in vain. Good luck with this petition.

I have to drive down this road daily to get to and from work since this accident it has give me no choice but to take a diffrent route to get to work as it has left a negative feeling for that junction and the duel carriage way its self i have a small child at the age of just 1years old and alls i keep thinking is that could have been me on my normal route to work it is scary to think that its terrible what has happend and something needs doing and fast cause i dont want it to be myself with my child or any of my loved ones pr anyone for that matter cause it will happen again if something isnt done about it poor innocent people have lost there lives cause of this road and people have lost there loved ones this needs to be rememberd and the familys need to know that there children have made the rest of the community safer even tho it has come from such a tragic accident.

So much more needs to be done to stop more accidents like this happening its getting far to frequent....

We wholeheartedly agree that traffic lights are so necessary at this junction. These two families should not be going through all this pain ,so please get traffic lights in place as soon as possible .
