The local Royal Mail delivery offices are well used. There is convenient parking when collecting packages. The closure of these offices would cause additional expense and huge difficulties for people who need to collect mail etc, in particularly for those who don't drive, or the elderly.

Marple and surrounding area needs this facility , as other people have said the road to Stockport is already congested . The inconvenience would be huge

I need to be able to pick up any packets I wasn't in to receive locally, I have to rely on public transport to get to Stockport, this is really inconvenient & defeats the idea of online shopping

I regularly collect items from the local sorting office that is within a mile. To need to drive many miles as an alernative would be costly in terms of time,  money and the environment.

I work for Royal Mail at Wilmslow Delivery Office & im sure it won't be long gone before they want to close that too! Royal Mail no longer cares about the people that they deliver too, it's all about cutting costs making the postmen/post women work longer harder & the fat cats that now run this company getting even more money whilst it is us that keeps this business going with no thanks whatsoever

I use the Marple collection/sorting office heavily. I am sure that if this facility were to close, not only would this be highly inconvenient for Marple residents and myself, but would also constitute an act of environmental irresponsibility by The Royal Mail in forcing more traffic to surrounding heavily congested areas, such as Stockport; an example of a location NOT convenient to travel to for many folk, especially at rush hour times.

The alternative Office at Green Lane s is very awkward to access particularly if you live in the Bredbury and Marple areas and don't have access to a car along with the luxury of lots of time and patience.

The proposed closure of the Marple postal services office will cause both my wife and I great inconvenience when we have to collect parcels. We also value greatly the friendliness of the local delivery service, the continuity of which we know from the experience of the centralisation of other services, will be lost. I urge the service's senior managers to intervene and reverse the proposed closure plans immediately.

I regularly have to travel to my local delivery depot in Bredbury to collect my parcels and signed for letters whenever I get deliveries when I'm usually out.
I don't have the time to travel outside of my area every time I have to collect something.
I am sick of all these closures of local public vital services throughout the area.

As an ex-resident of the Marple area I feel it is imperative that local services are kept on.
Expecting people to travel for 30-40 minutes just to collect parcels is ludicrous.

They closed the main post office in Stockport some time ago and know they want to take it back, we like our postal services where they are know stop messing the public about. I've just found out about the closers a lot of the people in Bredbury Romiley Marple don't know about this and will be upset.

I think taking away local sorting offices will greatly affect local people, we will not continue to get the excellent, friendly service from the Royal Mail sorting office staff that we have received over the years.

As an ex postman and Marple resident .
l feel the postal workers and the residents of Bredbury & Marple are being treated very badly by Royal Mail.
