My child is attending Laerskool Kruinsig, I nearly got run over by two motorists on different occasions while crossing the road ON THE PEDESTRIAN CROSSING as the majority of people traveling to work directly fail to stop or even slow down at the pedestrian crossing.
Some motorists speeds and do not adhere to the speed limit in the street aswell. Scholars cannot cross the road as it is too dangerous! The only option is to stop directly next to the school and not across the school. When opening the car door you also have to careful.

The current arrangements made by the school are.not only taking me on average 45 minutes from finding parking, having to walk my child to the gate as I am afraid of her being knocked over by other cars desperately trying to just do the same and then getting away from the hectic school traffic, it's also unsafe due to the congestion and children trying to cross the roads, get into the gate, walking behind vehicles trying to reverse out in the road because there is no space to walk past the front of the vehicles that are parked to close to the wall or fence (in Veld street).

Shangri La Academy is in the same road (Fiskaal Rd) as Laerskool Kruinsig and Shangri La Academy basically only allow one car in at a time at the entrance to their premises as well. Also, Maranatha School which lies back to back with Kruinsig, is in Dann Rd, this is a main rd, When the traffic of these two schools as well as people just traveling by to work in Dann Rd is added to the traffic of the parents like myself dropping their children off at Kruinsig and happening at the same time in the mornings and afternoons, results in a disaster. It is unsafe, and also results in our children coming late to class and getting marked absent or scolded.

There is no sufficient parking for the parents of Kruinsig. There is also no traffic control the large amount of traffic during peak hours. There is also no control on the traffic infrindgements committed by lawless drivers. They do not park in the appropriate parking spaces obstructing the traffic. At the paralel parking spaces many park in the oposite direction of the traffic lanes.
