#14

Jim is a first class postman & utter professional & has been sacked due to having & accident come on Royal Mail everyone is human & think you are being very harsh

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#15

Jim has been a loyal, caring and cheerful postman for many years, and he is sincerely the best postie we have ever had. He goes above and beyond every day. This sacking is a disgrace to the Royal Mail.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#17

Jim is a hard worker rarely off sick punctual all round nice guy keeps the team going it's disgusting how he's been treated

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#19

We have always had A* service from Jim and it would appear that the service is under pressure in Wiveliscombe - so Royal Mail, use common sense, it was a mistake, not a deliberate act of vandalism, reinstate a decent and hardworking postman now

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#23

We love Jim!!!!

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#26

This is disgraceful to be treated the way he has!!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#27

I'm extremely unhappy we have lost such a loyal, reliable, friendly, hard-working, trustworthy and honest postie. He is always singing the praises of Royal Mail, I would love to know the reasons why he has been dismissed and actions and procedures surrounding his dismissal.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#28

Jim doesn't deserve this!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#31

Jim is highly valued in our community, punctual, polite and goes above and beyond. Please reinstate our postie!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#33

This is disgraceful...he is a fantastic postie always happy and cheerful

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#34

he is a good post man, and in all the years he has done the job, this was his first mistake, not a sackable offence surely.

(taunton, 2016-12-02)

#36

Disgraceful and unnessasary to such a lovely postman, common sense clearly not by Royal Mail!!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#41

Finest most happiest, helpful postman I have seen. Always going above and beyond to deliver an exceptional service to the community. You'll not find a better gentleman.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#45

I support Jim

(Milverton, 2016-12-02)

#46

Outrageous Decision

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#50

Jim has been unfairly dismissed in my opinion

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#51

Jim is the most loyal, friendly, helpful and cheery postman we have ever known. He has worked for royal mail for about 30 years and this is the saddest news. Is there nothing for loyalty nowadays!

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#52

Outrageous. Jim is an extremely professional, friendly, helpful and happy postman who goes above and beyond the call of duty to provide a first rate service. Shame on you Royal Mail.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#53

Best, friendliest, hardworking, efficient postman I've ever had. Always gave you time whatever the weather. Shocking decision

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#54

I am disgusted that a loyal, long serving postman with over 20years service has been treated this way for a minor incident. Jim is a fabulous postman who always makes the extra effort to deliver our post safely, securely and in a caring fashion - a real pillar of our community.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#55

Jim is a true professional, he is diligent. And has an unwavering cheerfulness to everyone, RoyalMail should be ashamed of their selves, long dedicated service should count for something in today's society.

(Wivey, 2016-12-02)

#56

Jim is a valued servant of the community whom the Royal Mail should feel proud to have representing them.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#60

He is a brilliant postman. So helpful and friendly

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#61

Jim is a gentleman. The most friendly, helpful and caring postie, we have ever had. Always goes above and beyond his role in the community. Surely the response to his dismissal will speak volumes. We need more people like Jim around .

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#66

Jim is a great postman and person and for him to be sacked because of one tiny accident, which if the brakes and handbrake on his van worked properly wouldn't have happened, is just ridiculous

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#67

Because he delivers to my mum and takes the time to speak to her as help her .

(Kent, 2016-12-02)

#70

i'm signing because he was the most helpful friendly postman you could wish to have.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#72

Royal Mail have made a huge error of judgement sacking Jim... A real example of where cost-saving has come before any common sense, moral or ethical decision. Shame on you Royal Mail!

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#74

Because Jim is the best postman I know he goes out of his way to deliver his parcels sometimes coming back later that day as he's seen me drive past. He know most of not all the people on his route and I honestly cannot believe he's been sacked

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#76

This can't be right

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#79

I am so upset to hear this. Jim a lovely genuine bloke. His family need his wage. He knows all the residents of Wiveliscombe so well. Royal Mail have made a big mistake.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#80

Jim needs to be reinstated because he's the best. He is polite and friendly and does everything correctly. We can rely on him 100% . He needs to be back on his job!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#83

Jim is one of the nicest people I know and always goes over and above to asssit anyone , he would be an asset to any company shame on you Royal Mail .

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#84

He is an asset to the Royal Mail. After 28 years loyal service he's does not deserved to be sacked for 1 incident. are you going to sack every postman who has an accident in your van?

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#86

He's the best postman Wiveliscombe has ever had!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#87

My Dad is the best postman in the world, and Royal Mail have acted pretty shockingly!

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#88

Knowing Jim personally for a number of years i cannot envisage a scenario where his employer would need to "sack" him. This seems an unfair overreaction and is surely unnecessary, especially at this time of year.

(LOCHGILPHEAD, 2016-12-02)

#89

On the face of the matter Jim has been unfairly treated and a full explanation needs to be given, including referencing other incidents and punishments that have occurred within Royal Mail. If the punishment includes loss of pension and wages than it is far harsher than that issued to criminals who have deliberately caused deliberate damage.

(taunton, 2016-12-02)

#94

The man is one of the best postmen Wivey has, he is a big part of our community. Shocking news!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#95

Jim is simply the best postman ever!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#96

He really looks after the people of Wiveliscombe

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#98

Jimmy is the friendliest most helpful kind person I have met.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#99

Jim is the perfect postman! I am mystified and we'd like him back please.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#101

This man is the most honest and caring postman I have ever encountered, absolutely shocking he has been treated this was. He was so kind and helpful one day I even tweeted Royal Mail to say how wonderful he was when he helped me carry my newborn baby and all my shopping to my door.

(Somerset, 2016-12-02)

#102

He is an absolute credit to the post office

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#103

This seems to be grossly unfair to sack someone who has served the post office and the local community for so long.

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#106

Unbelievably poor management by the post office. A brilliant and well respected postman in the community and a man with strong scruples unlike his employers. Think again Post Office, you are making a big mistake.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#107

Great guy, and it's unfair dismissal

(Dulverton, 2016-12-02)

#108

Jim was the best, most thoughtful postman that we've ever had and will be greatly missed by the community and quite disgusted at his dismissal

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#109

I'm disgusted at the petty dismissal of Jim - no way to treat a loyal employee after 26 years of being our great, caring postman - you couldn't find anyone better in his job.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#111

Jim is a fantastic asset to the post office and his treatment is disgusting!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#114

The Royal Mail should give Jimmy his job back immediately and apologise for the distress they will no doubt have caused him. Always happy and a really great postie.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#115

Jim Denslow is one of the nicest posties we have ever had! Always smiling and cheery and gets our post to us on time! We could certainly do with more post personnel like him.. Good luck Jim, you have so many people backing you on this! xxx

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#116

He has driven a van for years and made one mistake. Surely could have injured a third party is a warning enough not to do it again. He is a well respected site in my home town of wivey. Surely Royal Mail should be looking at their owner driver sub contractors who think they own the road and drive with a like the "typical white van man"

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#117

Situation and they way it was handled truly unprofessional without any consideration of service, dedication and professionalism jim presented in his role.

(Torquay, 2016-12-02)

#119

This man should be praised for being a nice guy, polite, friendly and most of all helpful. Not reprimanded for what was nothing other than an accident.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#120

I'm signing because Jim is one of the most respected and caring people I know. He worked with my dad for years and has become an integral part of our local community, always going above and beyond the call of duty. Bring back Jim!

(Wellington, 2016-12-02)

#121

Jim is the best postie and has been treated appallingly

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#122

A good friend and not only an extremely loyal and hard worker but someone who cares about the people and the community. The Royal Mail should aspire to have all their workers be like Jimmy!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#124

I think what the Royal Mail has done is despicable

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#125

I know Jim to be a good man.

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#127

What an appalling way to treat the most fantastic postman.
You will be so missed Jim.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#129

Jim is the epitome of professionalism and cheerful customer service. The man is indispensable. Royal Mail, What are you thinking? There are so many ways you can re-instate him without losing face. Do the right thing.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#133

He is a bloody top bloke, always goes over and above to deliver mail to the community.

(WIveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#134

I'm signing because he is the best postman around and was fired for a silly reason

(Somerset, 2016-12-02)

#136

Jim does an outstanding job of serving his customers, knows people by name, and is always cheerful and helpful. His deliveries are accurate; we can tell when he has a day off becsuse the post goes to the wrong address. He makes a real difference in our community.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#138

He's an honest man and doesn't deserve to be treated like an idiot

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#139

He is the best postman weve ever had!!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#140

If the facts are as stated, this is an extreme and disproportionate response from Royal Mail.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#141

This is a minor indiscretion and does6not warrant sacking.

(Lydeard St Lawrence, 2016-12-02)

#142

Jim is so much more than a first class postie. He is a valued personality at the heart of our community who goes above and beyond the call of duty. Even the local post office are shocked and dismayed and not sure how they will manage without him this Christmas. Please find a little common sense to reinstate him back to where he belongs! This was a minor incident that has happened to many, not a sackable offence!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#144

He did no damage

(taunton, 2016-12-02)

#145

Jim is the calibre of man that gives the postal service a good reputation and is so cheery he leaves a smile on the face of everyone he passes. For a man to go out and pound the pavements handing out smiles and the occasional letter is exactly what I expect from my postman. This is a disgrace that such a good man has been fired for an innocent mistake.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#147

Jim goes above and beyond to provide this service. He is awesome. Friendly and super helpful

(wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#148

You can't get sacked for what "could of happened"

(Skegness, 2016-12-02)

#150

Jimmers a good lad and RM are a crap company!

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#151

This is totaly unfair... Yes it could have casued a death or damage. But it didnt!! I have heard he is a great postman and anyone make a mistake .... give him his job back!! Come on Chritsmas is a time for forgiven...

(Wellington Somerset, 2016-12-02)

#152

He is the best and most honest man ever.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#157

We love postman Jim, bring him back we'll miss you so much, sending much hope and thoughts to get you back down the meadow.

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#158

Jim is a first class postman. He goes above and beyond regularly to ensure we get our post on time. He is loved and respected in our community and we are so sad to hear that he will no longer be delivering our post. Royal Mail MUST reconsider their decision!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#159

Top Postman!

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#161

The severity of the action taken is hugely excessive given the mitigating circumstances, i.e. a very long service record and strong support from the community served, which speaks volumes for the man.

(Swansea, 2016-12-02)

#165

Jim is a kind caring conscientious man, he is also human. Humans make mistakes.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#168

Jim is the best postman we have, he runs around and goes out of his way to help others. It's unfair to sack him just because he made one mistake. We all make mistakes, please sort this out.

(Wiveliscombe, Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#169

He is a great postman and a great friend

(Genova, 2016-12-02)

#172

Jim goes that sought for extra mile and is friendly and cheerful too. A rare combination

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#174

Jim is an outstanding person and everything any community would want their local postman to be.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#178

No one should be sacked for a minor lapse of attention. This amounts to unfair dismissal. I hope it goes to an employment tribunal.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#179

I'm signing because Jim is lovely,

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#185

We all really like Jim, it is unfair to treat him so harshly, he made a mistake, that is human. Having this on his record could really screw up his work life out of all proportion to the mistake he made.

(Wiveliscombe, 2016-12-02)

#187

This is indefensible. A slight accident should not be a reason for sacking.

(Bristol, 2016-12-02)

#190

I have worked with Jim for almost 30 years and would trust him with my life ! One small error in all this time. Royal Mail will not get anybody as conscientious !!!

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#193

This merited a serious warning but as ultimately no harm was done, this is simply excessive and wrong

(Taunton, 2016-12-02)

#196

I have lived in the area for 14 years, I am now 61 years old, I have never met a postman more committed to his duty, more aware of his customers and their needs, nor more a positive advert for the Post Office. A shameful action when I would have bestowed accolades on him for his service and dedication.

(Milverton, 2016-12-02)

#198

Totally over the top reaction to sack Jim……I can’t believe it!

(Milverton, 2016-12-02)

#200

Is this how the Post Office rewards years of fantastic service?

(Milverton, 2016-12-02)
