This is a SMALL business that brings the community together. Why after such a hard 18 months would you try and push yet another business into dismiss!Grace Curtis (Polegate, 2021-07-13)

I’m signing this because before I moved up to Barnsley we used to visit Sharon’s van when ever we were at b&q she was always happy and smiling, instead of funding large businesses how about people start looking after the smaller people? Eastbourne council let’s hope you never have to be in a situation where you face loosing your income… actually maybe you should be then you would possibly understand what you are doing… Shame on you all…Lucy Goudge-Wood (BARNSLEY, 2021-07-13)

Sharon has served our community for years and deserves to continue doing so. We must support local business and not sell out to international conglomerates. Instead of ending her career, why not reward her for services to the community over almost three decades and give her an award!! The town council have lost sight of the bigger picture.Glen Parker (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

My dad is housebound and I go and get him a hotdog once a week as a treat which he looks forward to! He doesn't have much in life but has had Sharons hotdogs for years and wouldn't appreciate anything Costa coffee sell. She wouldn't be interfering with their business as they sell totally different things and so it is unfair and unreasonable to kick her off of a site she has been on for 29 years 😠 if this happens I for one will be boycotting Costa coffee!!!Julie Osborne (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

Sharon and her burger van are an integral part of the community and have been for many years! A trip to B&Q is not the same without the lovely smell of the food in the carpark. I see no reason why she should be given notice to leave.Gwyneth Brook (Eastbourne, 2021-07-13)

She is an independent business and has been there for years. People love it. Outrageous that she should be removed for a CHAIN, when this is just her spot, and she is good at it. Shows the priority of the council.Marion Rivaux (Hampden Park, 2021-07-13)

For 29 years this stall has served not only the local community but all the customers that visit the retail units and the workers from around the industrial estates. It provides a versatile menu with great choices. It is not Right that this stall be given notice to quit to make way for a commercialised business that offer expensive coffee and unaffordable snacks. the council should let the stall continue to trade as usual, Instead of a coffee shop domineering the public with no other choice.cass waliams (hailsham, 2021-07-15)
