Reduce the speed limit between Frizington and Wath Brow to 40mph

The current national speed limit of 60mph between Frizington and Cleator moor (A5086 Frizington road) means that frequently vehicles are being driven into and out of those towns well in excess of the 30mph.

We frequently see examples of bad or dangerous driving, speeding and overtaking within the 30mph speed limits. This makes entering or leaving junctions or driveways extremely hazardous at times.

There are plans for a new 94 house estate exiting onto the main road which will exacerbate the issue

By reducing the national speed limit on the main road it will encourage drivers to reduce their speed entering and leaving the built up areas and make it safer for residents at Parkside entering and exiting onto the main road.
