Lynnwood Road will not be able to carry the anticipated load of traffic with only one lane available to the general public. Many road users will furthermore use alternative routes such as Queens Crescent which runs parallel to Lynnwood Rd (this is already happening - especially taxis). Queens Crescent is a road in the residential area of Lynnwood in close proximity to Lynnwood Laerskool and Hoerskool Menlopark and as such carries a lot of scholars both on foot and bicycle, so too domestic workers. Queens Crescent furthermore does not have a pavement. The additional traffic in Queens Crescent will endanger the lives of these scholars and domestic workers, as it typically represents road users in a hurry to get to work. This is especially true of the taxis who have a blatant disregard for other road users. Many joggers also frequent Queens Crescent
