The proposed lane reduction will have a massive negative impact on commuters living in the eastern areas of the city. This will be akin to, if not worse, than lane closures for the widening of the bridges over the N1.

The decision will cut the east of Pretoria off form the Gautrain station in Hatfield, Hatfield and the schools up to Affies. It will create a grid lock on Lynnwood road.

The CTMM has unilaterally changed a decision formulated after 2 years' negotiation.

Reducing the traffic lanes to one will cause a logarithmic increase in the congestion already experienced along these major traffic routes.

I stay in Lynnwood Road, nearly opposite the university and we already experience extremely busy traffic flow during peak hours. Reducing to one car lane, will have devastating influence on already too much traffic. Removing the jacaranda trees and now reversing the earlier decision due to not enough parking being available for students at UP just confirms that Tshwane did not consult properly and never looked at the full impact of either option! More money wasted from the tax payer!!

I live in Lynnwood Road and would prefer not to spend time gridlocked every time I leave home.

Dit is total en al onaanvaarbaar. Dat hierdie mense alles net vat en opneuk, sonder om te dink.

Because it is insane to think that the commuters of the city in the East must now be inconvenienced due to the incompetence of this ANC City Council

As an Roads Engineer, the new proposals make no engineering sense what so ever and will lead to inoperative roads and a serious waste of funds.

Our son attends Afrikaans Hoer Seunskool and it will have a major impact on dropping him off and picking him up. The road is already congested and will be more so if there is only one lane for private vehicles. It is not acceptable.

To support anybody/everybody inconvenienced by this incinsidirate decision.

The heavy traffic congestion in Lynnwood Road as well as in Atterbury Road will worsen due to the high load-capacity especially during peak times. This will lead to more accidents and road rage. Absolutely a disaster waiting to happen.

I am using Lynnwood road daily to and from work.

The traffic in the morning and evening will be horrendous. It already takes ages to get somewhere using Lynwood rd during these times . Why did they remove the Jacaranda trees?

I will support any constructive action taken against incompetence, nepotism, lack of consultation and/or transparency, fraud, corruption, maladministration, wastage etc. as it is costing our city, country and all its inhabitants (excl. the few direct, corrupt beneficiaries, mainly ANC politicians) dearly.

Shocking! Apparently the person who made this random decision, does not travel in the already congested traffic in peak hours. One lane is only going to make it worse. What pray tell will the existing second lane be used for?

Because the decision does not represent my idea of what should be done to develop my city.

One car lane only, in each direction, will cause huge traffic build-up 24/7 as Lynnwood and Atterbury roads carry large trafic volumes throughout the day.

Residents were not consulted.

Lynnwood Road is already experiencing a huge traffic congestion on peak hours to mid city. Considering Lynnwood Road is the route for students and scholars as well as workers to town, we cannot afford to have just one lane. It will be a disaster.

Local authorities must follow recommedations of reports and findings of Subject Matter Experts and Proffesional Engineers. My understanding is that this is not the case and proposed methodologies are ill conceived and unworkable, which will increase congestion, travelling time and cost yielding a less productive workfoce for all citizens utilizing the route.

I am a resident of Lynnwood and will adversely be affected by the increase of traffic congestion's.I will not be able to use the bus system to my advantage.

BECAUSE THE CITY OF TSHWANE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE IMPACT OF THEIR LOUSY DECISIONS

Current road cannot even handle the traffic and one lane each way will make it impossible.
