I feel that the lack of consultation with parents and children is not setting a good precedent for the future. Let's have an open discussion about the proposed uniform change. My preference would be to keep the traditional and long standing colours but I am open to change. I feel it would be a terrible shame to lose an identity that has served generations, including myself and my daughter. The Roseacre colours are unique for the Blackpool area, shouldn't we be proud of this?

Very disappointed at the lack of consultation, a survey was available but all the important questions were missing, they also say the children were involved in the decision but mine says he has not been asked. New head just wants to make a mark!

Roseacre has always had a strong brand and heritage through it's school uniform and has an excellent reputation within Blackpool. In my opinion it would be like coca cola changing the colour of their brand from red to blue. Why change a good brand when it's already successful? If you need to adjust the uniform for practicality, at least keep the colour scheme. (Eg an orange and brown tartan skirt?)

I dont see any reason in why the uniform needs to change.I am unsure as to why the parents have until now been not been contacted. The colours should remain the "Roseacre colours".The proposed colours are the same as St Nicholas'School which is less than 2 miles away!.As an ex pupil myself i feel that to change the colours will take away the heritage of the school. I can understand reasons behind changing parts of the name for the school but to change the uniform just doesnt make any sense

I can 't understand why anyone would want to change the uniform.
It 's very smart and stands out from any of the others.

Keep the uniform as it is, the children look smart and are distinctive, my friends son wears a polo shirt and jumper for school and they don't wash well and he always looks scruffy compared to my son! Even my friend has commented saying the current roseacre uniform is nice and smart. I personally like the shirt and ties, the new uniform looks like a nursery uniform!

Why the need for change. As a parent and also from listening to other peoples comments there is nothing makes you prouder than when a comment is passed about how tidy and smart your child looks in uniform.it seems any tradition these days has gone and unfortunately the unnecessary need for the school uniform is disapearring along with it.Has anybody noticed the colour scheme is that of dunes nursey?Lack of consideration re cost, practicality, parents consultation, where will it end?Bring in a new headteacher who clearly has her own opinions on how a school is run/not that there has ever been a problem before/but dont fix whats not broken!leave our uniform alone. My son actually likes his uniform and this coming from a young boy !

Has everyone voted on the school website to oppose the uniform? I dont know whether people are aware that there are two surveys on the website. The people i hav spoke to where. If we don't all vote against it then she might get her wish to change it.
