Dogs, as well as all animals have right to be treated fairly. The government surely would not allow this type of abuse happen to a child so why do they let such outrageous acts happen to animals.

I just hope things will change and soon. It's getting hard to see all the pain and suffering some innocent beings go through because of man's ignorance.
Other law amendments could be to force landlords to accept tennants that own animals. This is a big cause of animal abandons in our province.

Stop supporting backyard breeders and PET STORES!! Many of these creatures are bred in horrific conditions called PUPPY MILLS!!!! Get informed people and stop the Supply and Demand TODAY! Read up and educate yourselves as to what is going on in Quebec! SAY NO TO PET STORES AND ONLINE ANIMALS! -Angie owner of 2 amazing dogs that DID NOT come from puppy mills!

...can criminal records checks be done first before allowing an individual to own/get a licence for an animal...should not this be a requirement of all municipalities in Canada?
