The lack of trains, especially during peak hour, because of cancellations due to technical difficulties is ridiculous - the trains that are available become so full that one can hardly breathe inside - not to mention the number of people who are hanging on the outside if the train - all because people are desperate to get to work (generally late). The lack of security is another problem and in many instances where there is security present the service is non existent - there is no way that the fitness level of overweight ladies and gentlemen sitting having long conversations on the platforms will allow effectiveness when having to apprehend a thief or somebody without a ticket who decides to run for it. Sure, there are those who are apprehended, but I would say that this is a very small percentage. I could go on forever ..........

I've been a Metrorail user for over 20 yrs...for the last 2 yrs this service has really gone to pot...overcrowding, delays, increase in train robberies and assaults...lack of metrorail personnel on the trains...station security seems to be there just for decoration...metrorail personnel needs loads of customer service training...and on and on we can go...All we require is SAFE and RELIABLE transport to get us to work and back home on time...
