We stay on a smallholding. Have 8 dogs, chickens and pigs and my animals take a lot of stress with the fireworks over Christmas and new years. Most people have pets and it's just appalling that that they don't have the brains to take their pets wellbeing into consideration. Anti fireworks....

Firecrackers are noisy, dangerous, harm and upset animals. They are just extremely unnatural in the neibourhood ...to all humans, plants and animals. They are also very expensive, considering some poor people who can't even afford a proper plate of food on Christmas and new year days still buy this things. #FirecrackersMustFall

Unfortunately fireworks are part of festive celebration and its tradition that cannot be done away with overnight just because someone who gew up participating in the tradition wants it gone. Some of us are very happy to go with the flow. It's only reasonable that those who want tradition changed better change themselves first. I say pets owners neighborhood is a necessity where you guys can live with your pets and leave us with our traditional way of doing things. The whole human kind don't have to end up in jail because you have developed new habits. Get out of the kitchen if you can't stand the heat.

The trauma caused to domestic and wild animals cannot be justified by people's wish for a few minutes of ridiculous so-called fun. It's time we took responsibility for all inhabitants of this planet and cared for all of them. Fireworks are simply put - cruel and unusual punishment for the most innocent among us.

I'm an animal lover... I absolutely HATE guy fawkes, new year and divali! Reason being the suffering the fireworks causes to animals. I'm with my pets 24/7 on these days to keep them safe. But, cannot stop the trauma they suffer from the loud bangs. It is time this practise was halted...

Every year my animals are traumatized and we cannot enjoy new years and have to spend it indoors while it's hot. It's time inconsiderate people are stopped. It also poses a fire hazard and children can get injured.

My dogs are terrified every time fireworks is used. Not us or our pets can enjoy new year celebrations as we have to stay indoors to try and keep them calm. It's not fair on the animals, it's cruel.
