The prestudy of the skatepark in Schaerbeek has just been developed by Mike, Cédric, Henri and me. Before submitting the plans to the city council, we would like to have your opinion to meet the needs of the inhabitants of Brussels.

Minutes of the Meeting at the City Council of Schaerbeek

I have great news for the end of this year. As you know, we presented to the city council the request for a skatepark in Schaerbeek. All political parties gave an enthousiastic welcome to the request. They all believe that a skatepark is essential in a highly urbanised municipality. The alderman of sport, Sait Köse, was appointed responsible for carrying out the skatepark. He set aside a budget of € 100,000 for mounting prefabricated modules. We believe that a smooth concrete skatepark is more approriate, as recently built in Dilbeek (see https://www.facebook.com/dilbeekskatepark?fref=nf), but it requires a budget of at least € 250,000.

We thank you for your support. Thanks to your many signatures we got a budget for the skatepark. In particular, we would like to thank the Forum of Neighborhood Committees, Namasté, Ride all days, Vélo Cité, Cocozza, mini-golf of Josaphat, pharmacy St. Marie, de Kriekelaar, de Bib and Boodschapinstituut.

Feel free to spread the petition. The more signatures we have, the more leverage we have in the negotiations.

Presentation to the City Council of Schaerbeek

Dear all,

The request for a skatepark in Schaerbeek will be presented to the city council on Wednesday 26th of November at 6 PM. You are all welcome to participate to the enquiry and show your interest. The enquiry will be held in the town hall (square Colignon). For more information please look at Facebook.

We will propose a skatepark as the one at Venice Beach in Los Angeles. See picture below :
