I live here and pay taxes, but never had a town looked like now and never had workers been so lazy like now. We pay these municipalities salaries, with our taxes to do zero, zilch. And the same goes for the parlement, ministers and president. What a bunch of crooks, who got no self respect, but live as parasites on other peoples hardworking taxes. I live in Brakpan. It has become a disgusting and dirty town under the ANC leadership, where once this town was spotless and safe, the town is falling apart due to terrible service delivery... or actually, total lack of service delivery. "Plastic City" as it is called houses illegal miners and trash collectors... they have turned our town into a dump with pollution that causes increasing health issues for many. These "fat cats" in our district that cannot run our municipalities properly has to be held accountable and personally liable for damage to infrastructures that have been damaged due to their lack of action and response to the ongoing complaints of the town's people. Contracts are handed out to people that clearly have no real qualifications! Our main road, Prince George Ave, where I live, now have street lights... but the work was obviously not done by a qualified electrician as the electric cables are attached so poorly and runs through thick branches of palm trees growing there... these will snap those cables the moment those branched fall! In effect we will once again go for months without street lights! This district and municipal managers are failing the people they are supposed to serve!!! Hold them accountable for mismanagement of funds and incompetence!
