I am a lawyer, now retired, but who was licensed to practice law in the Provinces of Alberta and British Columbia. While I am not sure Complaint # 2 fits under the category of breach of professional responsibility, without a doubt, numbers 1 and 3 do. Any first year law student could have told you that Texas had no standing to bring an application regarding the conduct of elections within individual states not named Texas. A Canadian sitting in Canada called that within 30 seconds and that was precisely the result. That the relief sought was disenfranchisement of millions of Americans, without a scintilla of evidence to support said claim for relief, only adds to the outrageousness of his behaviour. When you add Mr. Gaetz's sworn duty to protect and uphold the US Constitution into the equation, plus the behaviour set out in Complaint # 1 and you have very troubling pattern of conduct and an apparent lack of appreciation for the standards of conduct required of a lawyer called to ANY bar in ANY jurisdiction, such that an investigation and potential sanctioning is required.
