Social Workers have being exploited for many years and unemployment is unbearable in our countryTebogo Mokholane (Giyani, 2020-10-12)

I'm tired of empty promises made to social workers each year yet the government still need our services. We are being exploited with an extraa workload , working conditions are very poor also in danger as we visit people at their homes .Those who are working earn peanuts ,most posts require number of years with a low salary and the rest are unemployed. Our level of studying does not correlate with the salary , passion cannot buy groceries ...we have been lenient enough.

Im signing this petition because I'm unemployed graduate from 2016 untill now. Being unemployed for 5 years is not easy becacause we are relying on social grant for survival as we know that we are coming from different backgrounds. In our families; no one is working under government which is very predicament to cover all the basic needs.Ntombifuthi Mthembu (Mbazwaba, 2020-10-13)

I don't understand why Social Development Department keep on offering social work scholarships to new students whereas there are thousands of unemployed social workers at hand. They do not employ social workers that were loaned by NASFAS or those who paid for themselves. The age matter is also an issue, some of us graduated long before turning 50 and we are now over this age, therefore we no longer stand a chance of being employed by the this department. They talk about us opening our own NPOs, & this is not as easy as they make it sounds.Margaret Maimane (Soweto Johannesburg, 2020-11-03)
