The kid was only standing up for himself. He did what was right and is now being punished.Dixon Elizabeth (BADIN, 2024-05-24)

There is proven evidence that it is self defense. Jr would never put his hands on someone unless needed to I grew up with him. He is a great human being and does not deserve thisCameron Funderburk (Pageland, 2024-05-24)

I feel like if you have proof that he didn’t start the audication. Why punish him for someone else’s wrong doing. This is one of the greatest accomplishments a child endures to walk across the stage so his family and friends can see him receiving his diplomaNickole Williams (Cheraw, 2024-05-24)

he doesnt deserve to not walk at graduation since he put in the effort to complete school.Quinn Threatt (Pageland, 2024-05-25)

This young man did everything he was spose to do. Because someone decided to come into his personal space and assault him. He did what he needed to defend himself . No child should be punished for self defense. At the end of the day he worked hard to accomplish what he has to be taken Because the ignorance of others including staff.Melody Shropshire (Kershaw, 2024-05-25)

I think this is bullshit he should be able to walk across the stage for his graduation. He has no prior record and has good grades and was defending his self. It sounds bias to me.Samantha osmond (Kershaw, 2024-05-25)

This seems very very unfair. A young man who has had such a splendid record is suddenly denied his rights because a troublemaking idiot chose him to harass. CHS has a long running history of not taking proper actions when something like this happens. There is no way a student CAN NOT FIGHT BACK when being picked on by another person, yet both are punished and usually the most innocent are the ones to suffer. LET THIS YOUNG MAN WALK FOR HIS GRADUATION!!!!!!Bonnie Starnes (Pageland, 2024-05-25)

I've been in his shoes and it's not fair. He has a right to defend himself agasint any form of physical harm. If he did not start or instigate the altercation, then he should not be denied walking at graduation for defending himself.Robbie Thomas (Wallace, 2024-05-28)
