This data is relevant to the running community.

I want to continue seeing race records and age grade records. Not only am I interested in results in my age grade but it is wonderful to see what is being achieved across all age grades and locations. The park run community is a big supportive community and I enjoy the connection of seeing what my peers and friends are achieving across Australia and overseas. This is no longer available. Sad.

Helen Stanley (Melbourne, 2024-02-11)

I want to see my records

John Nuttall (Giru, 2024-02-11)

#806

Everyone loves to see the times & course records , it will drive more runners away then bring to parkrun

Greg Moore (Melbourne, 2024-02-11)

#808

I'm signing because all the data gives me motivation to keep going and being part of something big. I love seeing the attendances and will go to parkruns that are smaller to support them and their community

Lee-Anne KIRSCHNER (Shepparton, 2024-02-11)

Because those that are competitive love this aspect of Parkrun, and for those that aren’t it doesn’t affect them at all if it is there.

Emily Carrick (Melbourne, 2024-02-11)

#818

I like stats. I like to know accurately where I am at as a percentage.

Anthony Rule (Buderim, 2024-02-11)

#819

I like the stats!

Samantha Miller (Merewether, 2024-02-11)

I disagree with removing this information. It's important to many participants who've been involved long term, and who's participation is just as important as the people who are yet to be involved who may view records as a barrier. Easy solution is to hide it in the same way as the simple and extended view on the results page, with a filter/button to view it for those who want to.

Elizabeth Walsh (Ballarat, 2024-02-11)

#824

Many people who enjoy parkrun love these stats. Those that don't care aren't bothered by them. Parkrun has created a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

Michael Fricket (Newcastle, 2024-02-11)

The world has gone mad.

Vanessa Hart (Brisbane, 2024-02-11)

The extra data provides encouragement to strive to better one's self. There should have been a vote open to all parkrunners to have a say. Parkrun should be a democracy.

Scott Alder (Wallsend, 2024-02-11)

#831

Others achievements are inspiring not threatening

Kathy Buxton (Melbourne, 2024-02-11)

Parkrun has become an incredible community motivating force. I believe most folk are thee running against themselves for either age graded results or for fitness improvement. How could that not be the case when hundreds turnout to individual parkruns each week - there was a complete vacuum for community health action before Parkrun (“BP”)!
Who is the “owner” of Parkrun? If the events are run by volunteers, then surely it belongs to the Community. Therefore any structural or other change to Parkrun should be at the behest or the “Vote” of those Communities that embrace Parkrun!

John Whelan (Mt Ommaney, 2024-02-11)

I want to see the fastest 500 results again

Josh Axford (Adelaide, 2024-02-11)

#837

All data should be present and intact. There are some motivating stats out there for runners.
Removing the data removes just how unachievable PRs are now for some people since the YKW!

Sam Calabrese (Melbourne, 2024-02-11)

#839

Very disappointing as a regular park participant especially given no notice. Friendly competition is what parkrun is all about and celebrating personal achievements.

Ruth Thomas (Sydney, 2024-02-11)

#844

I believe all stats are important to the person reading them.
Maybe have a setting to allow who sees your results/ stats etc as per Strava for example.

Glen Mostyn (Mount Hutton, 2024-02-11)

It's motivational to see runners or walkers complete a course and achieve a personal best...

I have a90 year old friend whose hobby is going to runs near his home setting 90 to 95 records. Whilst I won’t set any records I also like to see how I compare in my 70 - 74 group an what I have to aim for when I turn 75.

Lyn O’Mara (Orange, 2024-02-11)

#866

I’m signing this because parkrun is a way for you to see where you are at and for everyone to achieve to be better and fitter and stronger.

Gayle Bentley (Craignish, 2024-02-11)

#875

I'm signing because I care

Kylie Irshad Irshad (Melbourne, 2024-02-11)

I get the idea of making them less visible on the home page, but put them in a different area.

Removing them also removes some peoples motivation to keep on attending and striving.

Beginner runners often only stick with it because of the community and also progressing and improving themselves.

Tony Shaw (Ipswich, 2024-02-11)

#883

I love feeling that community support behind the data. We can celebrate one another.

Jayden Andrea (Kyneton, 2024-02-11)

#895

Because I’m not happy with relevant details being suppressed.

Andrew Egginton (Melbourne, 2024-02-11)

#896

Its such nonsense bowing to woke nonsense

Caroline Cleary (Melbourne, 2024-02-11)

#898

It is a metric, it is a great indicator of what to expect on the course (indicates if it is challenging or not) and, for quick people, gives a target to aim for when you know you aren’t going to have much in the way of other athletes to push you.

Tony Gordon (Townsville, 2024-02-11)

#904

I want parkrun to see my performance data and be able to set goals and expectations for myself.

cristie wilson (tooradin, 2024-02-11)

#906

Don’t agree with the change at all

Todd Dennis (Brisbane, 2024-02-11)

#916

Having all those stats is one major reason i do the parkruns as it helps to push me and i like to look at other people i know and how i am going compared to them

Ryan Armstrong (Sydney, 2024-02-11)

#917

I liked seeing the historical data, and challenging myself, and question what is gained by removing it.

Iain Anderson (Brisbane, 2024-02-11)

#921

I agree the valuable data should still continue to be available

Stephen Murphy (Melbourne, 2024-02-11)

#930

This is a sad and ridiculous day for parkrun. Part of the motivation for running is seeing my and friends times no harm done. I would request that you immediately review this uncalled regulation that serves no purpose.

David Wallace (Paynesville, 2024-02-12)

#942

These stats are motivating and encouraging. Parkrun claims to be inclusive but it’s hardly being so if it’s taking away the ‘existence’ of these records. Many people, especially children and older generation are very proud of their achievements such as junior parkrun records and age graded records

Jo Davis (Nottingham, 2024-02-12)

#953

I want to see my data . Parkrunner 10 years +

Andrew Goodley (BRISBANE, 2024-02-12)

#954

parkrun should reverse this decision as soon as possible. They are alienating a significant number of their core participants.

Richard Hill (Atherstone, 2024-02-12)

#958

Competitive data from Parkrun built parkrun into what it is today- it gave it the meaning it has and it’s given reason to keep seasoned runners there. If your offended by competitive data that it takes the original meaning out of parkrun your wrong- they could of made it much more competitive. To think a few big mouths and their opinion has shut the world down it’s crazy. If it ain’t broken don’t try to fix it. I haven’t lost the true meaning through competing data. I’m insulted that it was suggested for Me and it was listened to. A group in England or anywhere else can’t suggest that for millions of other parkrunners -it’s ridiculous you don’t know what we are thinking. Without data parkrun will loose numbers here in Australia we are used to our parkrun stats. We love them. Please we already know how to get out of bed and keep coming and why parkrun is run- now give us our stats back before we make up our own bloody run.

Beth Pejic (Kingswood, 2024-02-12)

I love to see the details.

Esther Graves (Sheep Station Creek, 2024-02-12)

#963

I think the change is counter productive

Peter Allan (Brunswick, 2024-02-12)

#972

I think the disadvantages of the recent decoration outweigh any perceived benefits.

Colin Gurteen (Launceston, 2024-02-12)

#982

It’s a natural human instinct to strive to achieve. The loss of age category records has taken away a significant source of enjoyment and motivation for our elderly participants who have taken great pride in establishing and/or breaking age records.

Emma Nicholson (Palm Beach, 2024-02-12)

#985

I do not agree with this action of removing records.

Fergus Dixon (Hornsby heights, 2024-02-13)

#988

In an effort to become more inclusive and inviting, removing these stats has excluded many existing participants who like to track the stats including age group grading.

Trish Preston (Fern Bay, 2024-02-13)

#992

Showing this data motivates a lot of runners, including me, to become better and to attend Parkrun. I wanted to join the sub 17 club to be listed. But now there is no data anymore. Very disappointing for all ambitious runners that try to become faster.

Maximilian Roethig (Brisbane, 2024-02-13)

#998

Want to see data - it's why I run!

Spot Anderson (Swansea, 2024-02-13)

#1000

Because I like the stats!!
