A little boy I know has very recently died as a result of someone speeding on that road and having no footpath leaves anyone walking on it in great danger. A footpath and speed bumps and speed limits is essential to protect lives so noone else is lost.

The road is too dangerous and can’t have anymore lives lost to it’s unsafe set up.

A give way island and speed bumps should be implemented to avoid reckless driving

I used to walk along this road a lot when I was younger coming back from dance class and it always felt very unsafe with drives going past far too fast.

I lived a good part of my life in this village and my son and his family are residents. I know there have been serious accidents and I worry about my young granddaughter.

My son and his family live in the area and I would not want anything to happen to any of them walking on that road.

Living locally and after such a tragedy it’s a priority that something is done

Due to the horrific life changing events that have taken place in the last fortnight something must be done in order to create a safe footpaths in the area in and around Sutton in Craven. The number of people living in the area had expanded tenfold in the last 50 years and the highways and footpaths are no longer fit for purpose resulting in tragedy for a local family. Considering the quantity of school children accessing the area on foot daily and the expansion of housing around Sutton lane in the future adequate pedestrian areas need to be written into contracts with the relevant contractors by the parish and county councils as a condition of expansion.
