The extra data is motivating and people deserve the recognition.Alicea Burns (Glen Iris, 2024-02-11)

Age graded records and sub 17 mins for men and sub 20 for women are all significant milestones. Rankings on courses give people an idea of the difficulty of different events.Erwin McRae (Canberra, 2024-02-11)

I love seeing these each week. Please bring them back….Glen Richards (Sydney, 2024-02-11)

I love the aspect of age category records,it gives you the chance to see how you do fair against your own age,and the feeling of joy being in front of the younger folk..Michael Davis (Melbourne, 2024-02-11)

I am not sure the removal of these stats actually makes people feel more welcome. Parkrun has been perfect till now - inclusive of all people and I am 100% sure new people aren’t put off by the stats. Please reinstate this so it continues to cater for all people, not just a minority.Brenton Pobjie (Sydney, 2024-02-11)

People should be able to make thier own decision about what information they want to see. As much as some people may feel anxious about the results. Some people use these results to be motivated and encouraged by thier progress. Therefore, seeing results should be an opt in/out option and not be taken away completely.Andrea Carmody (Melbourne, 2024-02-11)

It’s absurd to not show this data for the people who love running and use park run as a weekend fun dash to track progress.Shaun Herman (Caboolture, 2024-02-11)

It shouldn’t have been removed - people parkrun for many different reasons, if a few minority don’t like the way it was let them set up their own community of non competitive runners where everyone gets a prize for just showing upClare Quee (Sanctuary Point, 2024-02-11)

Most of this info is of interest to many people. There definitely is no need to delete the Attendance Records page or the Most Events page.

Removing course records and first places is woke bullshit. I’ve never been first or got a course record but can’t believe you guys would be so stupid to remove records history. Keep it up and it will be the end of parkrunDirk Streefkerk (Minto Heights, 2024-02-11)

I love the stats that parkrun used to provide.I am not a fast runner or even a good runner but I like to looking up the stats of those that are.

I believe that seeing my data has helped encourage me, elevated me at times when I needed it. I started my Parkrun journey when I was diagnosed with cancer, parkrun has got me to where I am today, please don’t change.Donna Hughes (Munruben, 2024-02-11)

I'm signing because evem though I will never set a record I love seeing the stat's, I love seeing when a new record is set. I know a young guy set a new course record at our parkrun yesterday but he will not get to see it. Everyone cheered him yesterday and not a single 'slow' runner or walker would begrudge him having his name up there. We also want attendance numbers back, some people like to know of they are going to a busy or quiet parkrunPia Vicary (Holmview, 2024-02-11)

I believe we are excluding the majority for the benefit of the minority. Cancel culture is creeping into Parkrun.Andy Webb (Perth, 2024-02-11)

I believe this data does not exclude participants and it makes absolutely no sense to just exclude the faster times.Fiona Black (Bundamba, 2024-02-11)
#780
It doesn’t make any sense to remove age grade records and average number of participants. Again nanny state rules and ruining it for the majority of participants that go parkrun for a decent hit out and want to better their time each week. For god sakes please see sense and go back to the old way.Nick McDermott (Kilmore, 2024-02-11)

Im signing because its gotten ridiculous this trans issue of men identifying as women & stealing women's hard earned results. Its now affecting parkrun females and males with the way this has been handled. It is competitive parkrun... & fun so to imply otherwise is incorrect.Zac Frampton (Little Mountain, 2024-02-11)

Great to compare courses if it’s a slow or fast one. To understand if you haven’t done before.Andrew Patterson (Rochedale south, 2024-02-11)

The stats are motivational and we absolutely love them . It does not deter newbies to parkrun. there is not clear evidence of that . I have NEVER hear of anyone saying that will not come to parkrun because of the course records , sub 20 female, sub 17 male data. Most newbies don’t even know about the data. . top reasons i hear why people don’t come to parkrun are1. The name “parkrun “ oh I can’t run
2. Obesity - people don’t want people judging them
3. Distance to a parkrun
4. Want to sleep in on a Saturday
5. Work commitments or other volunteering commitments
6. Not interested would rather do something else - go to the beach, horse ride ect.
7. They think they are too slow , and don’t want people to be waiting around of them.
8. Can’t walk the whole way (health issues)

I’m signing because as an older runner I am partly motivated by friendly competition with others my age. By removing course age group ladders this motivator has been removed. We should be encouraging older runners, not removing motivators.Michael Eury (Box Hill North, 2024-02-11)
