The nursery is not for profit-making but as part of the west College Scotland campus and services. It’s a worry that it’s value is not being recognised.Andrew Auld (Paisley, 2022-02-12)

High quality elc provision is essential for parents as the enter further Education, to take away this provision would have a detrimental effect on students and for current children who have had enough disruption in the young lives the last two years due to pandemic. These children need consistency not more unsettling changeClare Hay (Coatbridge, 2022-02-13)

The resource is a fundamental part of the capability for people being able to go out to work. The government are trying to get more people into work, not discourage or create more barriers for being out of workKaren McFarlane (Cambuslang, Glasgow, 2022-02-13)

This excellent nursery enables students to attend class knowing their children are being safely cared for. The students can focus on their education and their future while children are well looked after by the professional staff. This would have a devastating impact on learning. Please retain this nursery.Gillian Maxwell (Greenock, 2022-02-26)

It would be a giant step backwards not to be helping little ones take baby steps forward in their development while carers work or progress in their education. Carers need to be close to their little ones and all going to the same place, under enough pressures in life.Geraldine Harron (Gourock, 2022-02-26)

I believe the nursery is an essential part of getting and keeping students with young children in further education. I don't believe that the nursery was opened to make a profit or to compete with other facilities at the campus. Vice Principal Amy McDonald needs to go away and reflect her comments on the nursery's closure.Paul Travers (Skelmorlie, 2022-02-26)

This is the best Nursery. My daughter loves to spend time at Paisley. Children have a lot of fun activities every day. They are never left alone in play, but play together with their teachers. All staff in Paisley is fantastic. All staff working for kids. There are weekly trips to the woods, parks or the playground. I have experience with two other Nursery where children play alone all day long. In Paisley at the Nursery, event in the garden may have time organized so as not to get bored. This is a wonderful Nursery and it is heartbreaking that more children will not be able to benefit from such wonderful care. I am asking you to consider the decision to close, because such Nursery as Paisly is nowhere to be found.Magdalena Mikula (Glasgow, 2022-03-23)

As a former Childcare Practitioner at the Finnart Street Campus for almost 20 years, I know how important the nursery is to help people access further education. It is a fantastic nursery, with dedicated staff who work in partnership with local council to provide a quality education for the children who attend. Good luck girls.Jacqui Breakenridge (Bishopton, 2022-04-08)

Good morning to you in the peace of the Lord.My name is Marcus Hoffman, I am a former employee of the IRPC petrochemical company in Ukraine.
I worked with the IRPC petrochemical company as an export manager but today I am retired, I am 65 years old and I am suffering from a prolonged lung cancer. Because of the medical indications, my condition has worsened a lot and it is obvious that I will not live much longer because of the rapid growth of this cancer, unfortunately I do not have any of my family members left because they all died in the war, that's why for the will of God I decided to come here in the hope of meeting a person of good will who has fear and faith in God to whom
without any regret I would donate my wealth in order to contribute to the development of the society with emphasis on farmers, herders, and orphan children.
I have a sum of 45,631,000 dollars in my bank for this project and for the love of God, I ask any serious and honest person of good will who has the fear of God to answer me urgently directly to my email address
to know how to get back in possession of this money and to help me to realize this project which has always held me in heart.
I thank you in the peace of God!

People need to work and study. This need doesn't disappear when you have children.Reliable, cost effective, trustworthy childcare is difficult to find and closing the nursery will be a major blow for students and will ruin their chances of completing their courses and moving on to paid employment. This is supposed to be the point of of further education colleges like WCS.
Also, since it is generally accepted that women are more likely to be the care giver, the decision to close the nursery is possibly discriminatory.
