I think Simon should stay! He is the only bike repair workshop in the village. During lockdown he put two new inner tubes in an old bike my dad gave to my son. It enabled my son to get some much needed exercise.Louise Schuster (Warsash, 2020-06-26)

I am signing this petition because Warsash Cycles provides a much needed service. Myself and partner use our bikes to avoid using our cars as much as possible for environmental reasons as well as benefiting our health. This service is close to our homes and again avoids the need for us to pollute the environment by going further afield. Cycling should be encouraged and the service provided is part of that.Katie Coppinger (Bursledon, 2020-06-26)

The cycling community needs bike repair and maintenance. It serves those who can’t cope and does the major work for those who do their own routine work. We lost Hargroves in Fareham as a result of stupid pricing and taxes. Yay to a new LBS!!!!!Bryan Christophersen (Fareham, 2020-06-26)

I support warsash cycles whole heartedly, why would anyone consider closing this small business down. The council should be supporting local business's, encouraging and promoting local ideas. Mr William's has lived in Warsash village for over 40 years, his customers receive friendly, and dedicated treatment. I am proud to have been his first customer and it would be shameful and sad to close this new local venture.Jane Whitaker-Chessell (Portsmouth, 2020-06-26)

I have not have cause to use your business yet, but I know where you are and when I do need to. So rather than going to Halfords, I'll bring our bikes to you. I love that you are starting a family business from your home. Surely that's what community does to encourage small businesses to grow? I am saddened and appalled that after a global pandemic, where businesses are going to face the biggest challenges to provide a living and stay open, the council should even think about taking one complaint forward in this manner.Lianne Mount (Southampton, 2020-06-27)

Simon offers a fantastic local bicycle service facility. It encourages local people to get on their bikes with the obvious benefits that come with cycling ie better health , less use of car for local trips etc . Simon’s services are first rate there is minimum to no disruption for local residents. I personally would be very saddened to see him cease to trade .Ian Simkins (Warsash, 2020-06-27)
