I am signing because I believe that seafarers have the same human rights as any other normal people in the world as the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 11 stipulates the presumption of innocence. It is about time to stop criminalising and scape goating the seafarers. We are not mercenaries any more like someone wants us to be. Seamen are normal workers like any workers in any industry. We have signed our agreements to work and enjoy what we do, not to be hi-jacked, traded for ransome, tortured, killed and jailed. We are not going at war. It is 21st century. I am with those who are ringing the bell for Capt. Lasota, because we believe he is not criminal. And this "bell tolls for you"
