John Dwyer (Suffern, 2022-04-05)

I’m signing because our health benefits should be enhanced without charging retirees any additional money. Most of us worked for the City 30 years and up, how do you justify this as caring for Seniors?

Yvette Edwards (Brooklyn, 2022-04-05)

#7027

We need to fight this nonsense

The city had made a bargain with its retirees, which it should keep.

Jo Ann Weber (Brooklyn, 2022-04-05)

Because this has been rushed and not vetted in the proper way. It is why the judge ruled against it.

Steven Hintze (Setauket, 2022-04-05)

Can’t get any satisfaction regarding retirees health plan. Reading too many variables. Don’t know who to believe.

I want my old medical plan back with NO CHANGES!

Walter Jankowski (Campbell Hall, 2022-04-05)

Spent 20 yrs with FDNY. I realize that you cannot negotiate with the city in good faith. NYC is running out of money to cover all of its “social programs” (handouts), so they hit the hard working taxpayers for more, particularly the retirees. It MUST stop. There are laws, the city must be forced to abide by them.

Frank Perry (Mortistown, 2022-04-05)

As a New York City retiree, I am on a fixed income and do not know if I can afford what I will not have to pay for health insurance. It seems to me that changing my insurance is not what was told to me when I went on the job.

Do NOT want the City to change our medical insurance

rose Pasternak (Monroe TownshipNJ, 2022-04-06)

#7116

I'm signing this because this was in the contract when I took the job and when I retired. Then it was changed on the sly. Honor the contract the city made with the unions. Want to change it do it with the new hires.

Gary Bulger (Staten Island, 2022-04-06)

I’m praying that our retired NYC employees can keep our present health coverage
Since we are all on fixed incomes and the economy has caused our finances to be below the cost of every day living expenses , food, car and home owner insurance, gasoline , and keeping up a decent standard of living
Having to pay for our health benefits is a burden that makes our lives very difficult
We have worked so very hard for the city and now we are asking that the city maintain our present health coverage

Linda Grad Rubin (Lake Worth, 2022-04-06)

Izzy Greenspan (Boynton Beach, 2022-04-06)

#7149

It’s a ridiculously high penalty for retirees to have to pay each month- and will force some to do without basics just to afford the same good health care we always had in the past.

Maria Tortora (New York, 2022-04-06)

I have leukemia. I cannot count on a private, profit driven organization to put my health and well being ahead of their profit motives

I believe in the beauty of NYC, the greatest City in the world, with a Mayor who respects the Dreams of a generation who worked tirelessly to build the beautiful City he has inherited and will understand an agreement made is an agreement kept. We deserve to live our golden years without worrying about our health care.

I don’t want to change my health plan and I don’t want to be in an advantage plan where someone who may not be a doctor or a medical personnel can deny me a necessary medical test because NY C wants to save money.

Jacqueline Bernstein (Boynton Beach, 2022-04-06)

#7165

The social contract we accepted as Teachers, Administrators and Staff provided us with a livable, affordable and equitable Health Care benefit when we needed it most.

Saulio Tuero (NYC, 2022-04-06)

#7167

I deserve to have the freedom to choose my healthcare plan AND free healthcare as promised when I signed on in 1981 and after dedicating almost 30 years of my life to the citizens of NYC. The City made a promise. KEEP IT PLEASE!

I choose to remain with the traditional Medicare plan I was guaranteed while employed by NYC rather than be coerced into a plan run by a for profit company.

Linda Lukas (The Bronx, 2022-04-06)

I want to choose my health care now that I’m a Senior. Mr. Mayor don’t f this up! Do the right thing like I did when I voted for you twice.

Debra Filan (NYC, 2022-04-06)

#7185

I am signing this petition to keep my original Medicare Plan and GHI (Emblem Health), Senior Care. I do not want to participate in any Advantage Plan. I want to keep my fee for service Medicare.

Kevi OKeefe (Stony Point, 2022-04-06)

#7191

The new plans are no where near as cost effective for me and wife. Now that we are on a fixed income and no real means of securing additional funds.
There is a potential in delaying treatment due to the per-authorization requirements for all the plans.
A misleading statement made by NYC representatives is that all doctors, hospitals and other health care providers are excepting the new plan. This is a false claim…

Harold Werner (Belle Harbor, 2022-04-07)

#7195

It is only fair that we should keep the health insurance we were promised on retirement.
