I have been stuck in my hometown (Colombia) for a year and working remotely with a NZ company in the NZ time zone (quite challenging) but I had to resign this week because I can't affect anymore to my kind employer who has waited and supported me for all this year. The immigration Office in each call and application for borders exceptions has said that the type of my work visa is not a priority at the moment and my work is not good enough to go back to NZ. I don't have family in NZ, I just have a deteriorated relationship for the distance, many friends who I call family, my service with refugees, all my stuff, my life, my dreams and more than 4 years of effort to being in the country that I have called "MY HOME", nothing else.

I am also a victim of cruel immigration policies, NZ government is good at talking about mental stress for residents but they never acknowledge the stress given INZ to temporary visa holders and how it affects life of individuals. The uncertainty and financial burden is add on when we have to go through several visas which is obviously not cheap. To conclude i can say INZ play equal role in exploiting migrants as bad greedy employers.
