This service has made a huge difference to my grandson's development. There is a huge need for this service in Taranaki. It should definitely be funded. I've been a parent of a severely disabled child for over 30 years, nothing has changed and parents are still fighting for basic support needs for their loved ones.

Donna Monaghan (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#457

I attend with a child I care for I see weekly the amazing difference this organisation makes to her life and others. There is no other service available like it.

Janelle Davison (Inglewood, 2020-08-04)

My daughter attends Conductive Education in Taranaki and prior to that in Hamilton. Without this therapy she and many other unique children would not have progressed as well as they have. A lot of Voluntary work has gone into the realisation of this facility in New Plymouth. The government funding that has been sought is key to securing it’s future and providing these children with the opportunity to realise their full potential.

Fraser Dore (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#459

It shouldn't close

Lisa Kinnon (Auckland, 2020-08-04)

#461

Sadly we need too because our government aren't interested in spending its people's tax money on the people's future. Our politicians line there own pockets with tax payers coin and then take more away from them. More and more children are coming into this world facing disabilities why government would take away what's essentially a lifeline I'll never be OK with.

Jonelle Old (Wellington, 2020-08-04)

#464

These are essential workers for these children that fall through the gaps.

Megan Wilson (Inglewood, 2020-08-04)

#465

My darling nephew went here and he improved sooo well, plus traveling to Hamilton is a long trip and costs heaps to travel there

Lesley Roebuck (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#466

This is a much needed resource in our area. Life is hard enough and cost from traveling out of area is to much strain of a family already under stress from from caring for someone with disabilities.

Vicki Griggs (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#468

I'm signing because Craig Nielsen stayed at our place every week for 2 years when he was traveling with his son Zak before he could open up the centre in New Plymouth. Zak, Craig and all the children and parents deserve support.

Kathryn Christensen (Cambridge, 2020-08-04)

#471

It is unfair that they are not government funded

Neil Evetts (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#474

this centre helped my nephew so much, it would be a shame to see it go

Tina Saywell (Bundaberg, 2020-08-04)

#478

I am a Nana of George who goes to Conductive Education- he has developed a lot more confidence and his balance has improved because of Renata’s encouragement- it’s a fantastic facility for our disabled kids

#482

This service is vital to the health and wellbeing of the entire community as a whole. Please support the great work they do and help. ❤️🧡💛

Ash Rowland (Stratford, 2020-08-04)

#483

I have a family member using this service and it is the only option for therapy as the DHB doesn’t provide any for children over 5 years old.

Christine Wiseman (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#484

Providing speacalist support for children with disabilities is an esssential part of what we should provide as a society

Gary Boyd (Auckland, 2020-08-04)

#493

This is important

Holly Shanahan (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#496

I am an occupational therapy student and i think this service is vital in helping children with special needs get a good start to life. We need to assist people with disabilities and support services that can help rather than making it harder for them than it already is!

Gemma Hunt (Hamilton, 2020-08-04)

#499

Government funding should be readily available to organisations like Conductive Education, the need for such organisations to self fund is wrong.

Rob Reade (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#500

I am signing this because this service is doing an incredible service with this young ones. They are able to help these little people achieve goals and milestones that they have been told would not be achieveable

Marie Riordan (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#502

For years business owners such as myself provided thousands in donations. My $5000 per year went to children's funds mostly. Now I'm out of work without income as many other people.
The gaps are now showing and Government will learn how valuable we all were to such charities as these.

Rhys Humphries (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#506

my daughter went to the centre in Hamilton and it was the best thing we could have ever done

Filippa Bain (Te Awamutu, 2020-08-04)

Conductive Education is a service greatly needed in Taranaki. This has been proven time and time again . These children are deserving of the same level of care as any other child in nz . Government should be funding this from the day they opened their doors .

Robyn lewis (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#524

I believe in the awesome job the Taranaki Conductive Education group are making to tamariki and whānau

Shiralee Pene (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#525

This is yet another cause that should be funded by central government. There are too many worthy organisations who depend on public donations. The public can only do so much - the government has to accept its own responsibility and step up for important causes such as this.

John Wilkins (Warkworth, 2020-08-04)

#529

We need this great programme for our Taranaki Tamariki to stay!

Tracey Goble (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

#531

Conductive education deals with vulnerable children and benefits their families, many of whom do not have a lot of options or other support. Conductive education offers invaluable service and experiences to disabled children. They do an amazing job and need all the support they can get to continue.

Sabine de Crevoisier (New Plymouth, 2020-08-04)

I work for a special needs school and these beautiful children need all the help the government can provide. Don’t let them lose this vital facility.

Kim Fleming (Auckland, 2020-08-04)
