I live right next to the Wolwespruit informal settlement by the river where these people are making a living. There has been brake-in’s and theft in our complex. December months are especially a problem. They burn things like plastic and rubber that hangs in the air in the mornings and afternoons and it stinks, but what stinks more is their human feses they do by the river and then the wind blows the stinge all over the area. It is NOT higenic!
They wash their clothes and everything else in the stream and therefore promote pollution. If we don’t stop it now the stream will soon have that dirty foam floating on top like the Hennops river.
We don’t feel safe to walk or jog in Keiskamma street or anywhere near there, because we feel threatened by them.
Keiskamma street and the street that Kloof Hospital is in must be cleaned up so that it will look esthetically beautiful and that it will be safe to walk and jog in our suburb. I am particularly worried about the higene. Thanks.

That area should be a green zone. We also do not want informal settlers in this area, because it creates an opportunity for criminals to use those settlements as a base to commit crime in the areas surrounding the informal settlements.
