I live locally SO31 and I think now is the time to support small independant business. Especially those trying to help thier local community. There's going to be alot of unemployed due to covid 19 and alot of people relying on gouvernment support or trying to stay afloat without it. Let people do what they can within reason as long as they do thier best not to inconvenience others wheres the harm. They are trying to help themselves an others.Irene Cooper (Southampton, 2020-06-25)

Why is this council focusing time on one man trying to help reduce our carbon footprint ? Look at your staff work routines, your waste your countless miles still travelling to meetings you don’t need to attend ? Really we should all be walking and cycling to work and you should be proud that Simon has grabbed the nettle and started this company applaud him do not destroy his businessStewart Hall (Southampton, 2020-06-25)

I see no reason why someone who wishes to take the initiative and start a business that is key to help people get fitter, healthier and use cars less, should not be able to do so.Steve Hunka (Warsash, 2020-06-25)
#484
Local businesses whether run from shops with unaffordable rents or people's homes are essential for local communities and should be supported, not discouraged. Safe cycling avoids costly stays in an already under resourced NHS who have other priorities at the momentClaire Bartlett (Southampton, 2020-06-25)

Supporting truly local businesses who provide a valuable, reputable, honest and reliable service is essential to truly establishing, maintaining and enhancing communities. Now more than ever, thinking local, and supporting small independent businesses and enterprises is essential, and those providing services which promote and maintain healthy physical and mental wellbeing through sport and recreation should be applauded and assisted, rather than faced with greater bureaucracy and red tape.
DAN WALKER (Glasgow, 2020-06-25)

Every business has to start somewhere. I cannot see how this is adversely affecting anyone. The service is to ensure cyclists are safe and will also be helping get all the old tired bikes fixed so people can use them instead of cars.David Barnsley-Parsons (Portchester, 2020-06-26)
#505
We live in a world where small cottage business should be encouraged. Especially as they offer a reputable cycle repair service. Cycling should be encouragedChris Crosby (Southampton, 2020-06-26)

Warsash Cycles are providing a service that is needed. There has been a massive increase in use of cycles due to COVID-19. The public must be encouraged to continue cycling. We are about to enter the biggest economic disaster since records begun. Thousand upon thousands are losing their jobs. Don’t force someone else to lose their job.Colin Wilson (Fareham, 2020-06-26)

This gentleman has done stirling work for the community and needs to be supported.Kenneth Moore (Fareham, 2020-06-26)
#512
We need a small independent cycle repair business in the area, especially since coronavirus hit us, with so many more people swopping their environmentally unfriendly 4 wheeled automobiles for the healthy wheeled form of transport. The fact that Warsash Cycles has used his home workshop to help the community, is very forward-thinking, and already paying Council Tax on his home, I feel he should be allowed to continue. Nobody can say, it creates a lot of noise, with car engines revving late at night, or the taking up other residents parking spaces!
Patricia Spratt (Fareham, 2020-06-26)
#513
Warsash cycles is an integral part of the community and greatly welcomed. I can not fathom why someone would make a small minded complaint about some one like Simon who is passionate about his work. Please do not let him stop operating.Matt Sanders (Warsash, 2020-06-26)
#514
I support Warsash cycles and see a business like this as being invaluable to our community and even more so in the lockdown when people need to get out and exercise for their own sanity and without people like Simon who has the skills to repair bikes what would we do?Sarah Pastides (Southampton, 2020-06-26)

I’m signing this because I believe that having this reliable and trustworthy services is great for the area. We also don’t really have any other service like it, with Halfords potentially shutting there bike repairs centre down, therefore I think it would be a great shame for Simon to have to stop his business as this community needs him and his business.Hayley Grimm (Fareham, 2020-06-26)

Why is this even an issue?these are exceptional challenging times, and we are all trying to get by as best we can. I think the person who complained needs to get over them self. Ridiculous. This ‘complaint’ seems just a waste of everyone’s timeTina Wilkinson (Southampton, 2020-06-26)

This is a much needed service, no contact is being made!Emma Wiltshiee (Southampton, 2020-06-26)
#577
With lack of shops open and people needing to excercise, this service shouldn’t have to justify where it operates from questioned or why. Firstly it’s helping the environment by encouraging more users to use their bikes, secondly supporting a local business And thirdly, supporting someones income which in turn means not being forced into furlough or unemploymentAmanda Howells (Chandlers ford, 2020-06-26)
#578
This essential service has enabled myself and others to repair and keep bikes maintained. Having used this I was impressed at the consideration to social distancing, gloves and overall professionalism. Without this easily accessible local service, people will struggle as apart from an expensive national chain in driving distance, and maybe one other shop again in driving distance there is no other real option. It would then be likely that some will ride on their poorly maintained bikes rather than getting their quick cheap annual service therby increasing risk of accident. This is a great local respected buisness and deserves support.Janet Edward (Southampton, 2020-06-26)
