Played as a Windsor Duke against Sutherland on numerous occasions. Their coaches always taught them to play hard and they did, but always in the most respectful way.(North Van, 2017-06-01)

I am dumb founded as to why any educational institution would want to limit activities that encourage and allow participants to experience themselves being 100% responsible for their actions while participating.(Vancouver, 2017-06-01)

As coach of the University of Victoria women's ultimate team I know first hand the value that the sport of ultimate can bring to young adults. The sport is second to none for developing not just physical fitness, but also helping develop sportsmanship, confidence, communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, as well as many other character defining personal attributes. I have coached several young women who have come through the Sutherland program (as well as other programs coached by the Keffers) and I can say with confidence that the people coached by them have been given a "leg up" on what this sport offers, allowing the students to transition more easily into university sports (and life). The loss of this program would be an unfortunate blow to the sport locally, provincially, and even nationally.(Victoria, 2017-06-02)

Carla and Michael have been an extraordinary example of commitment, hard work, and team spirit for many hundreds of children and youth. Our son (and our family) went to 4 Ultimate nationals with them and the teams they coached. They are very highly regarded in the sport, on and off the field. I believe it would be a significant loss for our your people to lose them as coaches.(Bowen Island, 2017-06-02)

In the most objective way possible, Carla and Michael Keffer have positively influenced hundreds of students through their undeterred dedication to the ultimate program at Sutherland. Their influence spans across many aspects of life, not just competitive aspect of sport. The lessons of spirit, cooperation, compassion, and respect they teach through ultimate stick with students for the rest of their lives. Barring Carla and Michael from coaching at Sutherland takes away the opportunity for students to learn lessons and grow in ways that no other sport or coach at the school can provide. High school is about learning the skills that are key to succeeding after you graduate, and for the rest of your life, and Carla and Michael as coaches provide the best opportunity for the students to learn some of these skills.(North Vancouver, 2017-06-02)
