Poor animals, can't these people please think about them (give the money to a animal charity) rather than wasting there money on these dangerous items that serve no purpose but to get a quick thrill and £££££'s up in smoke!lorraine cartledge (Newark, 2020-10-22)

Fireworks terrify wildlife and domestic animals and ruin their habitats, leaving dangerous detritus behind that nobody comes back to remove. You wouldn't allow pollution of our seas, so please don't allow pollution of our open spaces. The flora and fauna have the right to live safe, undisturbed lives. Please stop this event. Fireworks are a pointless and outdated form of entertainment .Tracey Stuart (Billericay, 2020-10-22)

As an elderly horse rider and dog, who is terrified of fireworks, owner, I am happy with firework displays located in suitable area's, preferably industrial, but not in cases like this surrounded by farms and livestock, I have to live with a traumatised dog who does want to go out for several weeks after these events so I know the effect they have on animals.Peter Johnson (Emsworth, 2020-10-22)

Fireworks should not be held where they will cause potential health and well being issues to both people and animals in our care. Move the display to a more appropriate site away from those that cannot escape the noise and frightening aspect of fireworks. It is a hazard to have such things going off near stables where a firework could land and cause a fire.Pamela Boutcher (Launceston, 2020-10-22)

Fireworks have become a nuisance and drain on society and its resources. They are way to loud and are going off at all.hours many weeks before and after bonfire night and into Christmas and New year. The amount of animals and people that are petrified of the Fireworks is substantially greater than the authority's are letting on. Something needs to be done about this matter urgentlyDebbie willetts (Manchester, 2020-10-22)

For all those affected by fireworks be they two legged, four legged, feathered or scaled... How many innocents have to suffer the horror of war like bombs that are sold to derive pleasure in the form of a firework.. sold without any consideration to the law, the fear, injury that they cause... Shame on this government for allowing it and shame on those without consideration or respect for others or our planet 🌏Carole Doyle (Sheffield, 2020-10-22)

Holding fireworks so close to animals is inappropriate and unfair. Who is going to pay for animals to be moved (if appropriate), from the area and pay for sedatives/calmers etc - not to mention vets bills occured due to injury /distress to animals ? Also how easy is 'social distancing' going to be in the dark ?Ann Chadwick (Stoke-on-Trent, 2020-10-22)
