We need to use the bus

Amy Pitt (Shepshed, 2023-02-07)

#206

I'm signing this because I depend on the skylink to get to my job at the agricultural college in Sutton Bonington at the university of Nottingham.

Andreia Moura (Loughborough, 2023-02-08)

I USE THIS BUS EVERY DAY FOR SHOPPING. DENTIST. HOSPITAL. VETS.WE HAVE NO CAR. MY HUSBAND HAS DEMENSIA AND CANNOT DRIVE ANYMORE I HAVE NEVER DRIVEN. WE WILL BE PRISONERS IN OUR OWN HOME. THIS BUS IS A LIFELINE

Rosemary Farrow (Źouch, 2023-02-08)

#208

I use this service every day to and from work. i would be devasted if the service ends , it will really impact the way I would now need to get to work. I have been using this bus for over 7 years so that would be a great loss.

Nonvelo Tawamba (Loughborough, 2023-02-08)

#211

This service is needed to allow residents to visit other areas that have the amenities Kegworth doesn't have. E.g. Post office, dentists, hospital.
Let's keep everything in the city centre but not provide means of getting there! Typical GOVERNMENT LOGIC!

Amy Maguire (Kegworth, 2023-02-08)

#214

I’m signing this because this is an important service linking Kegworth

Susan Porter (Snodland, 2023-02-08)

#217

We have to keep this lifeline open.

Jan Palmer (Loughborough, 2023-02-08)

#219

Its the only bus that goes to Loughorough and the centre of Nottingham and it runs regular all day,
If you not a car owner how do you go shop[ng or go to hospital?

Philip Stafford (Loughborough, 2023-02-08)

#220

My Dad, who is no longer able drive, due to illness relies on this transport, he is a pensioner and helps him to have a trip to town everyday, it helps with his mental well-being to be able to have a purpose of something to do that he enjoys, it’s such a life line.

Julie Farrow (Leicester, 2023-02-08)

#222

It is unsafe to have no bus for the elderly, single parents and vulnerable in the area.

Hannah Frisby (Kegworth, 2023-02-09)

#229

We all need to be able to access surrounding areas as a lot of people do not drive or unable to drive

Ian Towle (Loughborough, 2023-02-11)

#233

We moved to the village of Sutton Bonington on the 4th April 1972, my parents are both in their 70s and need this bus service.......there has been a bus service through the village for 52 years......its scandalous that someone wants to stop this.......this village and surrounding villages are so in need of this bus service

Ady Somerville (Nottingham, 2023-02-13)

#234

This is a vital service for a great many people in these villages who don't drive or have regular access to a car. Taking this away will leave them virtually stranded!

Helen McGinnis (Sutton Bonington, 2023-02-13)

#238

This service is invaluable to people in the communities, many of whom will have no other transport options if this service is removed. Many have lived here for years and deserve this service to be kept alive.

Dom Hattee (Sutton Bonington, 2023-02-14)

#239

It's important for young people to have public transport to get to college in Loughborough

Jasmine Bowles (Loughborough, 2023-02-14)

#241

The bus is the only public transport available to the village. Without it there would be isolation for many.
The village is growing, a substantial housing development scheduled for completion this year. This together with a significant student population (Nottingham University’s Sutton Bonington campus), makes a bus service vital.

Gordon Machej (Sutton Bonington, 2023-02-15)

#244

I'm signing because I don't want those who aren't drivers/car owners to be excluded from living in this community.

Karen Gray (Sutton Bonington, 2023-02-15)

#245

I rely on this bus to sutton bonington

Tiffany Howlett (Loughborough, 2023-02-15)

#248

This affects me and our local community

Sue Robinson (Loughborough, 2023-02-15)

#249

Removing yet another transport link from a rural location will only further isolate those who rely on buses to get to work, do their shopping and go about their daily lives. The skylink provides an invaluable service to the residents of the villages surrounding Loughborough and for many it is their only means of accessing the town.

Claire Newbold (Loughborough, 2023-02-16)

#252

This is such an important resource for those in the village that do not drive (which there are a lot) to be about to get into both Loughborough and Nottingham

Julie Bowles (Loughborough, 2023-02-17)

#253

I live in Sutton Bonington and I use the bus a fair bit

gareth boulter (Loughborough, 2023-02-17)

#254

I think it is essential and needs keeping for the community

Lynne Marshall (Loughborough, 2023-02-18)

#255

I'm a resident of Sutton Bonington and know how important the bus service is for many residents in allowing access to services in Loughborough and Nottingham.

Doug Lee (Loughborough, 2023-02-18)

#256

We need public transport

Patrick Bottom (Sutton Bonington, 2023-02-18)

#259

I use the bus service

Will Turner (Loughborough, 2023-02-18)

#262

It is important that we have a method of transport other than our own cars because they may not always be operational or in later life we may no longer drive. Without public transport we may be trapped in the village.

Philip Geary (Sutton Bonington, 2023-02-18)

#263

degradation of services that help the young and older poor, especially in villages is seen to be an easy option in cost cutting. Is the levelling up policy just another annoying strap line, like that one painted on the Brexit bus.

Jeremy Smith (Loughborough, 2023-02-19)

#264

Villages need local bus services as a lifeline, for those who are not able to drive, or have access to their own transportation.

Clive Rodgers (Nottingham, 2023-02-20)

#267

I use the skylink weekly for shopping and entertainment access.

Emily Ainsley (Sutton Bonington, 2023-02-21)

#268

I'm signing because the people who use the bus, mostly the young and the elderly without a car, need the support of the parish. It is important that these people have the facility to travel into Loughborough and Nottingham to do their shopping and/or meet their friends.

It would be a shocking lack of care if this service were cut, as usual cutting what helps the poor instead of looking after them.

Why not try helping the poor and needy and cutting services for the well off. That would be a wonderful change.

Christina Jenke (Loughborough, 2023-02-21)

#269

I feel very strongly about the bus skylink bus service that runs through my village of Sutton Bonnington. It would be a crying shame to lose this valuable service

Ashish Gupta (Loughborough, 2023-02-22)

#270

I’m signing because this is a vital bus service serving the community.

Karen Wood (Normanton on soar, 2023-02-22)

#271

I am a resident of Sutton Bonington who is heavily reliant on public transport.
The fact that we are being encouraged to cut emissions, yet removing services that would enable that to happen, is completely shameless.

Richard Gillis (Loughborough, 2023-02-22)

#272

The bus is a vital service for many residents.

Ben Hogg (Sutton Bonington, 2023-02-23)

#273

The service is a vital link for access into the local towns and not served by other public means

Lisbeth Chapman (Sutton Bonington Loughborough, 2023-02-23)

#274

People with no car, the elderly and vulnerable need a local bus service.

Maxine Hopwood (Loughborough, 2023-02-23)

#275

This is the only bus service through Sutton Bonington and would cut many people off from accessing services from outside the village - isolating many people. l

Gillian Hilsdon (Normanton on Soar, Loughborough, 2023-02-23)

#276

It is critical to provide the bus for the independence and well being of the diverse population of this village as well as to protect our environment by reducing car usage

Shelley Nicholls (Loughborough, 2023-02-24)

#277

For many people the village the bus service is a lifeline. Lots of individuals would be unable to commute to nearby towns and this would, I feel, have a big impact on their wellbeing.

Sylvia Lewin (Sutton Bonington, 2023-02-27)

#280

I use it to travel to school and it is the only bus I can catch to get there

Aarav kandiyil (loughborough, 2023-02-28)

#282

I am a resident of the village, living on Landcroft Lane, had a heart problem in the last 2 years causing suspension of my driving licence. The Skylink service at College Road was invaluable for access to Loughborough/Nottingham without depending on others for lifts.

John Cawrey (Loughborough, 2023-03-02)

#283

To keep the Skylink running providing the villages with a bus service to get into their local towns for doctors, shopping & various other services.

Michael Farrow (Long eaton, 2023-03-03)

#284

This is an essential service for these outlying villages, and the possible cancellation is just one example of the overall reduction in bus services throughout Nottinghamshire at a time when we are being told to "go green". Many people, the elderly, schoolchildren etc. will be left without access to any transport at all.

Ali Ritchie (Ruddington, 2023-03-04)

#285

We need more public transport, not less. Air pollution from too many cars is causing serious problems for people like me, who suffer from a lung condition

Helga Wills (Nottingham, 2023-03-04)

#289

My sons use the service to go into Loughborough for school and leisure activities and we use it for airport trips.

Stuart Hubbard (Loughborough, 2023-03-06)

#290

We need this service in our village

Emma Hubbard (Loughborough, 2023-03-06)

#293

This is the vital link service and will remove daily public transport access .

Barry Hilsdon (Normanton on Soar, 2023-03-11)

#294

I want to save this vital bus service for our village. It is needed now more than ever.

Sharon Gallagher (Leicestershire, 2023-03-15)

#295

I use this service!

Alex Harris (Leicestershire, 2023-03-20)
