1. Masks Don’t work (as stated by CDC and doctors, etc). 2. Masks hinder leaning and social interaction. 3. Masks take so much from our personal identity. 4. Mandating is unconstitutional and Needs to stop.

The time has passed to unmask our children. This mandate has gone on long enough. Look at the vaccination rates and herd immunity. We need to get back to a semblance of normal. Covid is now akin to the flu. Stay home until you’re symptom free. Let’s get on with our lives.

I am signing because of the amount of instruction time I had to miss last year to take mask breaks because my anxiety made me feel claustrophobic.

I am signing for the kids who are behind in social, emotional, and academics due to the pandemic.

This needs to stop

Masks are ridiculous and children are not effected by Covid anyway. It's a power play and it's an infringement on our rights. Also masks adversely effect learning and are dangerous. Most that haven't been pulled out to be home schooled will never recover mentally from the setback.

My grandchild attends public school in East Greenwich and finds the mask mandate difficult.

Ann Marie Gildea (Naples FL, 2022-02-06)

As a mom, a teacher and someone who was fortunate enough to educated by the EG School District when the kids were put first and foremost in decision making it is beyond time to put restrictive, damaging, mandated measures behind us.

Sheryl Green (west greenwich, 2022-02-06)

Kids deserve to be mask free. Covid will never go away. We mist learn to live with it like the flu.

Johanna Klawuhn (East Greenwich, 2022-02-06)

Masks are unnecessary for children and is doing far more harm to our children socially and academically.

Michael Ford (East Greenwich, 2022-02-06)

After living in EG for 45 years and teaching there for over 25 years, I want what’s best for the school children .

Patricia Hincks (Coventry, 2022-02-06)

It’s common sense

Amanda Caito (East Greenwich, 2022-02-06)

The time to end masking our children regardless of vaccination status has long come… for all the reasons included in this petition.

Mask wearing is having a negative impact on our kids’ emotional and mental well being and hindering the learning process.

I am fed up with mandates

John Grilli (WGreenwich, 2022-02-06)

#280

I believe kids should not have to wear masks in schools especially once they are vaccinated. The risks to their health do not justify the damage

ITS TIME TO UNMASK THE KIDS

Gary LANOWY (NORTH KINGSTOWN, 2022-02-07)

I want parents given the choice to choose the decision for their kids to wear or not wear masks in school.

Stephe Swiatocha (East greenwich, 2022-02-07)

#299

I'm signing because it is disgraceful what we allowing to happen to our children. There is so much scientific evidence that masks are damaging to children's development.

Veronica McCartney (North Kingstown, 2022-02-07)

Children were never the problem regarding this virus. We are heading for a mass issue with our children’s immune systems if the do not get regularly exposed! Covid won’t be our only issue if we keep on like this!

I just got back from a basketball tourney in nj
Thousands of unmasked kids and adults
It’s getting silly at this point

I am a student and wearing a mask should be our choice.

Jake O’Leary (East Greenwich, 2022-02-07)

I'm signing for all of the reasons stated in this petition. Also, the data has NEVER justified masking children. We have no idea of the long term consequences, schools in other countries have either never masked or have stopped masking children and it has not affected them, their teachers, or community transmission. Parents have a basic right to risk assessment for their children and what goes on their children's bodies, a right that has been stripped from them without due process the last 2 years.
In addition, the CDC's current mask guidance negates the "I wear my mask for others mantra," which has been repeatedly dispelled by real world data, as it recommends N95s (which are not approved for children) for PERSONAL protection, NOT to reduce community spread. Every
adult who wants one can be issued an N95. Every day, more medical experts are finally speaking out against continued masking at schools. In Governor McKee's own words, IT IS TIME.

Masks should be optional in schools.

Thomas Martin (East Greenwich, 2022-02-07)

#345

With vaccines, N95 masks, and proven therapeutics all now widely available, it’s time to make masks optional in EG schools after the state lifts the mandate. Let’s follow NJ’s lead (something I never thought I would say!) and let our kids lead more normal lives. Masks were supposed to be a temporary measure but, since COVID will never be gone, we need to define an end date for masks or they will simply become permanent. The negative consequences of masking kids are becoming more clear and they are too severe to stay on the current path.

Alex Millard (East Greenwich, 2022-02-07)

#346

Because I believe in science and the most recent data out of Germany, the UK, and Israel all concluded that paper and cloth masks do absolutely nothing to stop the transmission of coronavirus

Mark Gabriele (Warwick, 2022-02-07)

#347

I don’t think the kids should wear masks!
We are over the brunt of Covid , the people who chose to be vaccinated are vaccinated, the others should have the right to chose.
Kids need normalcy! It’s time to make masks at least optional!!

Nancy Haberman (East Greenwich, 2022-02-07)

#351

End mask mandate

Sean Todd (East Greenwich, 2022-02-07)

#356

The masks are more harmful than helpful to the kids at this point

Amber Koppen (East Greenwich, 2022-02-07)

#359

Mask mandates were intended to be a temporary precaution to protect from the most severe surges particularly prior to vaccinations becoming widely available. With every adult and nearly all school aged children now eligible for vaccination, effective options for treating infections available, and high quality N95 and KN94 masks also widely available for those at high risk, it is time to shift our thinking. Masking should remain an option for those who wish to wear them, but the negative educational, psychological and social impacts on our children can no longer be minimized or ignored. The issue of masking in schools cannot be considered in a vacuum and any relative benefits must be weighed against the considerable ongoing costs to our children.

It’s too much now

Norman Arsenault (East Greenwich, 2022-02-08)

#376

I agree with all above points. Masks are ineffective at this point with the current variant. Many have been vaccinated. Let our children out of these masks already.

Denise Desmarais (East Greenwich, 2022-02-08)

It’s not helping.
