I like this nursery they are good and shame for the other parent to loose this service.

This is a vital service for parents trying to further their education but with no other nurseries close enough that we can get kids there for 9am and be at college at 9am which will force parents to abandon their course because the children WILL AWAYS come first.

Mick Mcneil (Greenock, 2022-01-11)

I believe it is important for the community and would do more bad than good closing it.

I am signing because they close enough things for the young toddlers, and I feel there needs to be more for them to develop not less.

It’s a great nursery

Stephanie Alford (Greenock, 2022-02-01)

#227

My child attended this nursery and it is a great asset to our community and our children. Great facility and staff are fab. Not just college students children attend there are also council places.
I also feel this is just another way of downgrading the courses available at Greenock campus in order to centralise everything in Paisley. Strongly object to this.

Andrea Jones (Greenock, 2022-02-01)

#228

I've heard this nursery is one of the best in the area

Kathryn Bell (Greenock, 2022-02-02)

I believe there is a real demand for this nursery in Greenock. It's a successful, well run nursery.

Michelle Liddell (Greenock, 2022-02-02)

#263

They can’t close this down, 99% of all parents in this area used this nursery at one point in their life and the staff made this nursery, have such fond memories

Karen Warren (Greenock, 2022-02-02)

#266

I am signing because people rely on this nursery so that they are able to go to college and better themselves. Not everyone has the support of a parent or any other family member to help out with childcare to allow the parent/s to be able to go to college and study and this nursery is a lifeline for them, also could be very upsetting for the children as well due to having to start in another nursery after being settled and happy within the environment. This is added stress for parents having to look for another nursery for their child to attend unexpectedly.

Maria Law (Greenock, 2022-02-03)

It's my job on the line

Angela Duncan (Greenock, 2022-02-03)

It's a great wee nursery. Helping parents getting back into education

Kimberly Macintosh (Greenock, 2022-02-03)

This nursery has an excellent reputation and is a well established part of the community. The children are happy and content and all thrive in their own individual way. Also the nursery provides a solid base for children with additional support needs. It would be a shame to take this facility away from the area.

Its another service being taken away by local authorities. The service is there for a reason, if more nurseries are removed it overpopulates the others.

#297

This is a vital service that should be kept
Open. Nurseries in the area are already bursting at the seams and the closure of this will only make the situation worst. It is also upsetting for kids who have another year to go to be moving nursery and could cause settlement issues at a young age hopefully common sence will come into play and someone will see this is a bad move.

Garry Muir (Greenock k, 2022-02-06)

#298

Shocking the nursery is being closed stopping opportunity for students and children around the community.

Alison Gardner (Greenock, 2022-02-06)

#379

Further education should be open to everyone and having a nursery will help keep doors open for people to further educate themselves

Nicola Gibney (Paisley, 2022-02-07)

#380

Nursery/crèche facilities will and do help many parents access and sustain the FE/HE education.

Services such as this are crucial to increase the life chances of parents, especially those who are socio-economic disadvantaged. The ease/time reduction and cost reduction of having such services on-site should not be dismissed.

Having parents who are FE/HE educated and able to access such education increases the life chances of the children and develops them within their community.

Siobhan Smith (Paisley, 2022-02-07)

#383

This facility has been designed to support students in their studies.

Higgins James (Lanark, 2022-02-07)

#384

Access to local childcare means access to education for many local parents. Without the college nursery, many parents will effectively face another barrier to accessing further education. The nursery also provides childcare to college staff and local working parents that either cannot access council nurseries or face lengthy waiting lists.

Martin Clark (Glasgow, 2022-02-07)

#386

It's a vital service for students and their young children.

Paula Lindsay (Greenock, 2022-02-07)

#387

I’m signing this petition because it’s important to have local, affordable childcare provision for the local community. Where else would be better suited for FE students who require childcare than the college they are studying at.

Garry Ross (Motherwell, 2022-02-07)

#390

Childcare provision is important to parents trying to improve their prospects in life in order to provide a more secure future for their child.

Ann Henderson (Paisley, 2022-02-08)

#391

I don’t want the nursery to close

Moira Jarvie (Kilsyth, 2022-02-08)

#392

College students can't afford private child care. It could make the need for a choice between finding a career and a life on benefits

Susan Wilson (Paisley, 2022-02-08)

#396

Students need this facility to further their education/career. Government are trying to get people back into work, and people need to have their children cared for to allow them to work.

Laura McAlpine (Glasgow, 2022-02-08)

#397

Once the students start to come back onto campus they will need the nursery. Getting a child to nursery out with the college makes them late for classes. We already start some classes later to accommodate such students. Also, some students don't have family to rely on to take their children to another nursery.

sue Falconer (Cumnock, 2022-02-08)

#398

This is a great asset to the college. ther nursery staff are wonderful and its great peace of mind knowing your child is on campus with you
