I hate to see animals frightened by fireworks. We have a duty to look after them.Philip Waters (Camberley, 2020-10-21)

Fireworks are not fireworks anymore they are bombs, wildlife is petrifiied when they are set off, there is absolutely no need to have bombs going off at such high decibels, our previous pet dog died soon after having a heart attack during New years Eve firewwork celebrations, only mindless morons can possibly enjoy bang after bang.Christopher Jones (Liverpool, 2020-10-21)

Firework displays are completely unnecessary, and cause such a huge amount of distress in animals. It's ridiculous that a so called modern country still holds on to such distressing and antiquated practices. Please modernise and stop causing livestock and pets such anxiety and stress.Richard Kent (Linlithgow, 2020-10-21)

Time has moved on, remembering 1605 is pretty well irrelevant. It is a fact that animals and birds are terrified of fireworks. I also know someone who has had her hearing permanently damaged by a firework let off within a few feet.Francis Henderson (Folly Gate, 2020-10-21)
#3049
There are a lot of horses nearby to the site, some pregnant mares. Firework pose a very real threat to these animals and from what O understand there has been zero consultation with the landowners around the site.Aimee Carr (Clacton On Sea, 2020-10-21)

I’m signing this as in this close area there are farms where many animals reside in fields. They will suffer due to the proximity of the fireworks. Another more suitable site should be found urgently. They intend to display the
fireworks over 2 nights which will be a nerve
racking experience for these poor livestock.
Please do your best to find a suitable site which will ensure these animals are safe.
Thank you
Christine Tallent (Feltham, Middlesex, 2020-10-21)

Animals don’t have a voice..We must speak up for them.
We must also speak up for vulnerable people.
Most children love fireworks.
The aim is not to be a killjoy, but simply respect those creatures & people & hold the display in a more appropriate setting.
Maxeen Subbhan (Shetland Islands, 2020-10-21)

Fireworks can have a devastating effect on animals. Only last year I signed a petition to control the use of fireworks after a young pup suffered a fatal cardiac arrest due to the horrendous noise. Please consider relocating this firework display so that it cannot disturb or frighten animalsWendy Johnson (YORK, 2020-10-21)

The constant noise alone causes too much suffering and anxiety on domestic pets , farm animals and wildlife, not to mention the awful smell in the air following these firework displays. We are supposed to trying to improve our quality of air, fireworks only contribute more contamination, the cost of these firework displays would be better spent on a worthwhile charity event.Deborah Ralph (Worcestershire, 2020-10-21)
