STOP WEELEY FIREWORKS! SAVE THE LIVESTOCK AND ANIMALS

Comments

#2803

Fireworks terrorize animals and many people, as well. They often cause injury
either from panic or being actually hit or burned by fireworks. The long lasting trauma leaves PTSD in its wake.
Find a better location, far from all animals and people. Being irresponsible and cavalier about it is wholly unacceptable.

Karin Barger (Sullivan, 2020-10-21)

#2804

This is an unfair intrusion where no thought seems to have been given to the detrimental impact on those vulnerable to loud noise.

Joy Starkey (Bromsgrove, 2020-10-21)

#2805

Fireworks do untold damage disturbing animals and causing children and adults severe burns ban them as far as I’m concerned

Martin Crabtree (Gwent, 2020-10-21)

#2806

There is no need for these kind of events, and with the current situation, they should not be allowed to take place at all

Malcolm Bull (Coventry, 2020-10-21)

#2808

Have two small dogs and they get so upset one had a knee replacement jumping in the garden. Fire works are very loud that should be looked at.

Janice Ince (London, 2020-10-21)

I’ve horses in the area and have friends that have lost horses due to stress and fire caused by fire work in the past

I think fireworks should be banned. Noisy and dangerous

Lorna Howard (Norwich, 2020-10-21)

#2825

This has happened to me albeit a smaller affair. If anyone's in any doubt about the distress it causes I have video evidence of my horse throwing himself at his stable wall. The RSPCA didn't want to know, there is no help anywhere.

Nic Harman (Gunnislake, 2020-10-21)

#2828

I’m an animal lover

Victoria Hibbert (Derby, 2020-10-21)

#2831

Firework displays should never be allowed if there are any animals nearby, domestic pets, farm animals and horses. It is illegal under the Animal Welfare Act to cause any animal distress, therefore the council and police must not allow this event to happen at this location.

Jean Seager (Bromley, 2020-10-21)

#2832

I'm signing because fireworks now are way too loud and sound more like a war zone than a pleasant celebration. Fireworks nowadays are anti social and particularly very frightening for animals.

Rita Barker (Birmingham, 2020-10-21)

The world needs more compassion, and less greed and arrogance!

Irene Chandler (Preston, 2020-10-21)

#2841

Fireworks should be banned totally!
They are noisy and are not good for the environment. Stupid people abuse the fireworks by posting them through letterboxes or torturing animals with them. Just ban them totally and these problems will be no more 😡😡😡😡😡

Mary Greasley (Monmouthshire, 2020-10-21)

#2844

This is an inappropriate unnecessary way that will cause harm.

Ria Monckton (Caerphilly, 2020-10-21)

Being a Farm Labourer I know the Dangers of Having Any Fires in Close Proximity of Any Farm or Stables & Animals can be Catastrophic . Unless The Fire Brigade &The Other EMERGENCY Services are on Hand at The Sites on Both Evenings .

Iain Greenwood (NEWTON , HYDE.🇬🇧, 2020-10-21)

#2848

Fireworks should be banned, it has been proven they are so loud that pets and wild animals are so stressed, some die. This extravaganza should not go ahead

Caroline Momberg (Exeter, 2020-10-21)

Utterly ridiculous and inhumane

Suzanne Osborne (Newcastle, 2020-10-21)

Douglas Oxer (Bolton, 2020-10-21)

Fireworks are a menace in the countryside, they are a menace in urban areas. What is the point of them when they cause so much distress and damage.

Jo Melson (Colchester, 2020-10-21)

#2891

Because the stress it puts on animals

John Backhouse (Nuneaton, 2020-10-21)

#2894

I think all fireworks should be banned or at least only allow silent ones, as in Italy! Too many animals and birds are horrifically injured, traumatised or killed for what some selfish people call entertainment!

Bronwen Jones (Grantham, 2020-10-21)

#2898

I am a dog owner that has a nightmare for several weeks each year- it's not just for one night anymore- I hate fireworks now!!

Rachel Kanes (Manchester, 2020-10-21)

The welfare of transient beings should be paramount and transcends the proposed two day event of inappropriate greed and ostentation.

Susan Browne (Bromley, 2020-10-21)

#2904

This is unnecessary. Animals will be terrified just so humans have something to look at. Disgraceful.

Jackie Silburn (Carnoustie, 2020-10-21)

#2906

I dont think u should have fireworks so close to animals.

Adam Partridge (Colchester, 2020-10-21)

Julia Templeman (Hawick, 2020-10-21)

Karen Hardy (Cardiff, 2020-10-21)

#2938

Firework displays are great for people but animals are terrified. They should be done far away where they won’t upset them. Fireworks scare me too.

Lynne Hawthorne (Cheadle, Stockport., 2020-10-21)

#2941

I love animals and don't want them to be scared

Maureen Mcinally (Seaham, 2020-10-21)

#2947

I also keep horses and dogs close by and very worried about this event going ahead

Alison Taylor (Weeley, 2020-10-21)

#2951

You need to choose an appropriate site, not where farm animals will be highly stressed. that's just plain wrong.

Pat McKenna (Cardiff, 2020-10-21)

#2954

It appears thoughtless and cruel to be so near to innocent animals. There are thousands of places with no animals or wildlife like quarrys etc that would be ok. Once a year, safe, organised displays, would save the people and nhs money, the fire service, ambulance but more importantly the innocence of the animal.

H Andrews (Notts, 2020-10-21)

#2958

To stop the suffering of animals ,
