STOP WEELEY FIREWORKS! SAVE THE LIVESTOCK AND ANIMALS

Comments

#2201

I’m signing because of the amount of livestock around that field as well as kennels

Lauren Goldsmith (Essex, 2020-10-21)

#2202

The impact to animals is soul destroying to watch. If you had children who hated noise or were young would you intentionally hold a firework display. What happened to self isolating....there should be no fireworks.

jacqui johnston (Edinburgh, 2020-10-21)

#2206

At first hand I see the terror this causes to animals

Christine Carrigan (Norwich, 2020-10-21)

#2207

I believe, quieter fireworks can be used and still have a nice effect. Make a law that no fireworks with loud earth shattering booms are manufactured, imported or sold in the UK. And if any organisation or households fails to follow the ban, then the retailer and the recipient gets prosecuted.

We’d soon get used to it. I remember when the seatbelt law came in, some people were against it and now it’s normal and has saved millions of lives. So too could visual fireworks save lives of animals, both domestic and livestock and absolutely benefit any one suffering from PTSD.

Carl Jolly (Dudley, 2020-10-21)

#2208

The negative effect of fireworks outweighs any benefit.

Rhiannon Williams (Mountain Ash, 2020-10-21)

#2211

Fireworks are nothing but a nuisance. In Luton they go off practically every single night for months on end and they are detrimental to the environment, our wildlife, our pets, old people, people with PTSD, vulnerable people, the list is endless. Why does a civilised culture take part in such a destructive, terrifying and frustrating practise.

Jackie Cox (LUTON, 2020-10-21)

#2212

Bonfire Night has sadly become over the top to the point of hysteria.

David Fleet (Crewe, 2020-10-21)

#2214

I am signing, because I have great respect for animals.

Roy Crowl (Nr. Fareham, 2020-10-21)

#2215

Fireworks not only have injured teenagers messing around but also causes extreme anxiety and stress to poor pets & animals in the wild.

Martin Gillespie (Belfast, 2020-10-21)

#2216

I'm signing because I care about animals and their welfare.

Robert Scott (Glasgow, 2020-10-21)

#2230

Animal welfare is very important to me. Owning a young German Shepherd Dog who is reduced to a shaking, wanting to hide, she is a nervous wreck when fireworks go off outside the house. Imagine what effect these nights of mayhem have on our wildlife. we are still held hostage to a terrorist cell that was eliminated in 1605,

Stephen Todd (Stockton on Tees, 2020-10-21)

#2231

I believe only silent fireworks should be allowed. The distress, injury and death they cause to animals cannot be justified.

Donna Rebouse (Nottingham, 2020-10-21)

#2232

It is so important

Katie Yates (Stoke-on-Trent, 2020-10-21)

#2245

Animals and vulnerable people need protecting from the selfishness of others

Rosalyn Simpson (Sherborne, 2020-10-21)

#2246

it's time to grow up and acknowledge the
need and concern of otherss

Hal Lindberg (Sandown Isle of Wight, 2020-10-21)

#2247

The government and local authority has yet to recognise the depth of the problem or the duration of firework distress which get longer every year. This kind of event going on over two nights is utterly unreasonable, particularly with regard to it's proximity to livestock.

Sarah MUNN (Coventry, 2020-10-21)

#2254

My dog terrified of fireworks

Joan Ismay (Cumbria, 2020-10-21)

#2259

Fireworks are dangerous
They add to global warning and Are an outdated form of so called entertainment. Many animals are injured and killed by fireworks every year as well as humans .

Janet Redfern (Retford, 2020-10-21)

#2265

I fear for the safety of the nearby animals who might panic during the firework display. If they panic they will almost certainly injure themselves while trying to run away from the noise and flashing images.

Hilary Mitchell (Diss, 2020-10-21)

#2266

Yes fireworks should be banned for the sake of animals and only hay display fireworks mines are terrified l

CHARMAINE FOWLDS (Edinburgh, 2020-10-21)

#2268

I know first hand how terrifying fireworks are to animals, and a more suitable site well away from them would be a more considerate choice

Stella VERITY (Harrogate, 2020-10-21)

#2270

These firework displays are so cruel to animals anywhere nearby. Plus how in the name if God can we have COVID safe firework displays - they all need to be banned

Chris Hardy (Warrington, 2020-10-21)

#2271

I have had injured animals due to fireworks which not only have cost me thousands in vets bill resulted in career limiting injuries. I have seen cattle and sheep distressed in their fields due to fireworks so agree that sensible sites should be chosen.

heather Willacy (Farnham, 2020-10-21)

#2275

I know how my dog reacts to fireworks and its awful.

Sylvia Collie (Ayr, 2020-10-21)

#2284

I think that 2 nights of fireworks a year is more than enough. I have a dog that hates them.

Angela Pennington (Nelson, 2020-10-21)

#2286

My horses are terrified by fireworks

Toni Gibson (Gibson, 2020-10-21)

#2288

This will cause needless suffering to animals.

Ian Webb (Newquay, 2020-10-21)

#2290

Far too close to livestock and will cause distress!

Rachael Pennifold (Clacton-on-Sea, 2020-10-21)

#2291

Fireworks should be allowed near animals

Christine Turner (Stanwick, Northamptonshire, 2020-10-21)

#2293

Common- Sense !!! Livestock and animals nearby !!
Not really difficult to equate !!

colin auty (Dewsbury, 2020-10-21)

I’m signing because I know how fireworks, especially the noice, can affect pets!!!

Edward Dewar (Southamptpn, 2020-10-21)

#2299

Elizabeth Elsey (Basildon, 2020-10-21)

#2302

I don't like fireworks frightening animals, and people who suffer from their effects.

Patricia Platt (Chelmsford, 2020-10-21)

#2308

It is cruel to animals!

Tracie Wase (Lancing, 2020-10-21)

#2309

Brenda Howlett (Surrey, 2020-10-21)

#2310

My own dog is petrified of fireworks and really suffers at this time of year - every year!!

Jerry Lovatt (Oxford, 2020-10-21)

#2311

I have horses and have witnessed the horrific effect fireworks can have on horses, livestock, dogs and humans who suffer with various conditions

Susannah Trangmar-Ward (Colchester, 2020-10-21)

#2314

i am signing this as having pets i have seen the distress and upset that fireworks cause to animals and seeing your pet shake tremble cry and try to hide is not right it amounts to cruelty and animals every year end up injuring themselves and some even die

stuart waterhouse (keighley, 2020-10-21)

#2315

Most animals and many many people are terrified of noisy fireworks and they get louder every year.

Patricia Waite (Knaresborough, 2020-10-21)

#2316

Fireworks are traumatizing for animals

Li Bartsch (amsterdam, 2020-10-21)

#2317

Animals are terrified and we should be teaching our children to be kind and caring.

Rosalyn Muir (Shipley, 2020-10-21)

#2321

Sick of the noise at all times of the night

ian kennedy (kilwinning, 2020-10-21)

#2324

I’m signing because this unnecessary stress and upset it caused poor animals

Diane McFarlane (Pitlochry, 2020-10-21)

#2325

I’m signing because if this was done to humans there would understandably be an
outcry. Well animals can’t speak out so we have to do it for them. It’s inhumane you’d think it was a third world country were in.

Wilma Davie (Lanark, 2020-10-21)

#2334

It’s dangerous & very cruel!!

Sharon Lomax (Bolton, 2020-10-21)

#2345

Because they cause so much distress to animals and the elderly

Veronica Doody (Cardiff, 2020-10-21)

#2346

Our elderly poodle is terrified of fireworks. If they were silent he could cope but the quite unnecessary noise is traumatising.

Caroline Smith (Norwich, 2020-10-21)

#2348

Animal lover

David Field (Bradforda, 2020-10-21)

#2352

Of the animals

Jackie Kemp (Essex, 2020-10-21)

#2353

This is obviously not an appropriate place to have a firework display and people should not be mixing at this time.

Christine Evans (Gloucester, 2020-10-21)

#2354

Why on earth is this happening? I have signed a petition to stop these events because of how they distress animals.
My understanding that there will be no public displays so why is this one going ahead.

Tricia Edwards (Poole, 2020-10-21)

#2355

humans should not frighten defenceless animals.

Carl Rawlings (Newcastle upon Tyne, 2020-10-21)

#2358

I am disgusted at the organisers for arranging what will be a horrific experience for wildlife, pets and those with PTSD

Anne Carey (Bexhill, 2020-10-21)

#2359

Fireworks cause so much suffering to animals and are necessary - many countries have banned the sale of them & monitor any organised display - please rethink this firework display

Bridget Dunford (Teddington, 2020-10-21)

#2360

Fireworks shud be kept to just a small display away from any live stock, kennels of any sort. They shud be banned for use at home now, they are not safe!!

Julie Norris (Bushmills, 2020-10-21)

#2363

Fireworks terrify animals. I had a terrible time trying to coax my cat out of hiding and calm him down recently after fireworks in the neighbouring estate.

Damien Lyle-Stirling (Shankill, 2020-10-21)

#2368

it is cruel to animals who hear sounds so much louder than we do, inappropriate and misplaced. Is it licensed or insured >

ruth bishop (WALTHAM ABBEY, 2020-10-21)

#2369

I used to enjoy fireworks but no longer, as I have seen the suffering they cause to animals.

Sally Rowe (Bexhill on sea, 2020-10-21)

#2381

I am signing this petition because I have witness the enormous suffering animals endure. A horse ripped to shreds trying to escape the noise. A dog going into a seizure through complete fear. A cat trapped under a shed. A deer hit by a car. These are just a few examples of the complete terror the impact the noise has on animals. Remove the bang and enjoy the sparkle would be the sensible solution to protect one and all.

Sarah McLean-Barr (Northamptonshire, 2020-10-21)

#2385

I don't like loud bangs so I am sure it is much worse for animals which have more sensitive hearing

Christine Dawson (Brixworth, 2020-10-21)

#2386

Fireworks should only be used for organised displays on certain dates which are widely adverised in advance

Debbie Page (Weymouth, 2020-10-21)

#2388

I want to protect wildlife

Peter Scrivener (Chelmsford, 2020-10-21)

#2391

Fireworks are unnecessary and cause much suffering to domestic and farm animals as well as wild animals. Its disgusting that human beings who consider themselves superior to other creatures and yet treat the planet like its ours alone. I havent even started on the litter fireworks create, its all appalling and must stop.

Linda Adams-Carlyon (Braintree, 2020-10-21)

#2392

Has the organiser had a leave of their senses? Why don't they set the fireworks off in a fireworks factory? Animals need protecting from these dangerous noisy explosives.

Tracy Wordsworth (Chesterfield, 2020-10-21)

#2393

I object to Fireworks especially with the impact on wildlife and pets, farm animals, etc.

Gaynor Goodman (Swindon, 2020-10-21)

#2396

I am strongly against fireworks They cause great distress to animals and fatalities in the wrong hands

Jane Clarke (Rossendale, 2020-10-21)

#2398

It’s not right to subject animals to such events, they don’t understand what’s going on, and it causes a lot of distress.

Ian Brame (Letchworth Garden City, 2020-10-21)

#2399

It presents a huge risk to wild animals and livestock

Sally Garlick (NOTTINGHAM, 2020-10-21)

#2400

Fireworks should not be allowed to be set off near animals/livestock!
