This is so wrong, the poor dog doesn't deserve to die and that poor man shouldn't have to loose his best friend.

I am signing because this is so unfair….the punishment is so disproportionate to the crime

Cathy Mc Geoghegan (Clonmany, 2022-06-28)

I feel this is way too harsh, a nip is not serious and a little dog who has never before done anything wrong deserves another chance

I would have seen this man and dog at shows and she is a sweetheart as he he , they have an incredible bond , this little dog doesn't deserve to die for one little mistake , she didn't cause serious damage has has an impeccable record of behaviour up until this , she was most likely startled as is very rural and protects her owner , I honestly think this judgement needs to be overturned

Jo Gurney (Sligo, 2022-06-28)

There is no way Kim she and her owner should be punished. It is cruel and inhumane to take her life over a minor incident

Janice Moughton (Great Harwood, 2022-06-30)

This is a total travesty- cruel, heartless and showing no compassion to both dog and owner. The woman who brought the case is a very sad and selfish individual who epitomises the worst aspects of humankind.

Karen Ashton (Longford, 2022-07-01)

#71

For a one off minor incident where there is no history of the dog being vicious or proof that the dog wasn’t antagonised by the recipient the sentence of death is far too severe. Particularly when the abuse of animals is treated with so little disregard by the authorities.

To the women and whoever else has condemned kim and her owner to death by having a court order against a little dog to be destroyed, she is the old man’s best friend and soulmate, have a heart and let Kim live and go back to her owner.

An over-reaction to an isolated incident, less severe measures could be placed on the dog when outside to ensure the safety of others, and also some training classes.

There are other measures that could ensure this does not happen again without killing the dog. She could be kept on a lead or muzzled if outside of a secure garden. The punishment far exceeds the crime.

This elderly man needs his one and only companion, his little dog. A simple small nip by this pup does NOT merit Kim being PTS. This is a one off occurrence, this little dog is not vicious, and as can be seen in the footage, showed no aggression to those who interviewed Donal. Perhaps the lady who was bitten looked into the garden, sat on the wall, had her arms on the wall, we don’t know. Little Kim does not deserve to die and be taken from this elderly man, who adores her. Terriermen, who train their dogs to kill wildlife, including protected wildlife, and dogs which have also brutally mauled and killed companion animals do not have their dogs taken away and PTS. and have been taught the taste of blood and run rampant through the country. Where is the justice? We demand the request to put Kim to sleep is dropped immediately, to save this poor man any more heartache. This is outrageous!

Kim is an innocent little dog protecting its home. One single.minor nip it absolutely no reason to put this mans companion down. You dont kill humans for murder. This woman needs to step up and ask the order be reversed. Publish her face so we can see who wants this little oup murdered for a minor nip. The woman and judge should be ashamed. Save kim has been posted all over the world.

Kim doesn’t deserve to be out to sleep on the word of one person claiming it’s ‘dangerous’. My misses is a dog groomer and has been nipped on occasion. She doesn’t claim the dogs are dangerous. She does her job and cares for the animal. This woman has no right to demand Kim be put to sleep. She’s a disgrace. The laws need to change to stop idiots like her putting dogs lives at risk for no good reason.

To show solidarity to Donal and his beloved life line companion Kim who had no intent to hurt this person. The little dog was playful and excited as dogs are when they encounter new people.

It would be morally wrong to deprive Kim of her life because of an error of judgement.

As an animal lover myself, I would protect their life over all else.

The connection between Donal and Kim is such a special one,

You are dealing with two lives here Donal and Kim.
Please do the right thing and save this beautiful wee dog.

Thank you so much

Donal has offered to muzzle the dog and put fencing up. That is definitely enough that needs to be done. There are known dangerous dogs out there that are muzzled when out to avoid the dearth penalty. Just treat this little JRT in the same manner and everyone will be happy. And alive. Utterly ridiculous that she should be muzzled but if it means the snowflakes are happy and Kim lives, then just make it so, yes? Whatever next….
