Petition for the resignation of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Confederation of Kickboxing and Muay Thai

During its last meeting on the 24^th of March, 2025, the Management Directors of the Bulgarian Confederation of Kickboxing and Muay Thai (BCKMT) decided to remove Denitsa Milenkova from her position as Head of Judges in the "Tatami" section, without any explanation. This decision has raised serious concerns and confusion among us, the supporters of the sport and the organization, as well as among all those who value the professionalism and dedication of Denitsa Milenkova to kickboxing in Bulgaria and worldwide.

Denitsa Milenkova is an exceptional professional who has been awarded four times as the best referee at official World and European Championships. She is a member of the Judges' Committee of WAKO Europe and of the WAKO IF Black Belt Directory. Over the years, she has succeeded in creating one of the strongest and most respected referees’ communities in Bulgaria – a group of referees who, with their persistence and professionalism, have brought Bulgaria to the international stage and represented it with dignity.

It is indisputable that thanks to her work, our country has established itself as a leader in kickboxing, and the referees she has trained are respected both nationally and internationally. The termination of cooperation with her without any explanation from BCKMT damages the reputation of Bulgarian kickboxing and causes serious harm, both within the country and abroad.

By signing this petition, we demand:

1. The resignation of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Confederation of Kickboxing and Muay Thai.

2. A review of the decision to dismiss Denitsa Milenkova and her reinstatement as Head of Judges in the "Tatami" section.

3. Full transparency and accountability from the BCKMT leadership regarding the actions and decisions they make in the name of the sport's development.

4. The convening of an extraordinary General Assembly of BCKMT with the aim of dismissing the President of the Association, in accordance with Article 3, paragraph 1 "z" of the Statute.

5. The election of a new Management of BCKMT in accordance with Article 3, paragraph 1 "v" of the Statute.

We, the undersigned, express our firm support for Denitsa Milenkova, for her professionalism, and for everything she has achieved for Bulgarian kickboxing. We demand that the BCKMT leadership take responsibility for its actions and take immediate steps to restore justice and promote the development of the sport.
