PETITION - KEMPTON PARK HOSPITAL

We the undersigned residents of the greater Kempton Park, Edenvale and Tembisa herewith petition Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi, to cancel the demolition plan for Kempton Park Hospital and instead appoint a panel of reputable subject matter experts to evaluate the structural integrity and capacity of the building, in order to ascertain what can be salvaged and at what cost. The building has been standing empty for over 20 years, in which time it could've been effectively utilized as amongst others, a day hospital, a clinic, a training centre. Optimum usage of the full extent of this large property should be considered. We as the petitioners believe this building can still be utilized as a mixed use facility, reducing the medical burden currently placed on the Edenvale and Tembisa Hospitals.
