Urgent Help Needed – Orphaned, Autistic Young Man at Risk of Deportation to Inhumane Conditions in Albania

We are urgently seeking your help to save my 21-year-old cousin, Genti, who is currently facing an extremely vulnerable and life-threatening situation. Genti is seeking asylum in Sweden, but the Migration Agency has decided to send him back to Albania, despite the fact that he will be completely alone there, without any form of support or care.

You must have a real email, not a fake one! It must be valid! 

I want to be clear in emphasizing that I am not asking for any money or financial support. What we need from you is something much more important – your signature on Genti’s petition and your support to help influence the decision-makers who have the power to change Genti’s life.

Genti is autistic and non-verbal. He has lost both his parents and has no other family left in Albania who can take care of him. The reality is heartbreaking – Albania does not have the adequate care or support that Genti desperately needs. In fact, when we reached out to the psychiatric services in Albania for help, we were told that the only alternative would be to build a cage for him at home, as he cannot manage on his own and there is no other safety net for him.

Genti is now at risk of being sent back to a country where he has no means to support himself or receive the care he needs. As an orphan, autistic, and non-verbal individual, he is entirely dependent on the help of others to survive. Sending him back would mean forcing him to live under conditions that are unworthy of any human being, and we fear for his life and safety.

We are pleading with you to help us raise awareness of his situation. Genti cannot speak for himself, so we must be his voice. Sweden has always been a beacon of human rights and care for the most vulnerable, and we believe that together, we can make a difference in Genti’s life by urging the Migration Agency to reconsider this decision.
