PETICIJA PROTIV UBISTVA PASA-ZA HUMANO REŠENJE PROBLEMA NAPUŠTENIH ŽIVOTINJA
Sednica skupštinskog Odbora za poljoprivredu održana u petak, sedmog februara u srpskom parlamentu, pretvorila se u otvoren poziv na beskrupulozno tamanjenje svih pasa koji nemaju vlasnike. Poziv na likvidaciju nedužnih životinja došao je iz usta Dragana Jovanovića, predsednika Skupštine opštine Topola i člana ovog odbora.
Mi, dole potpisani građani, ljubitelji životinja i borci za prava nedužnih bića, izražavamo svoje najdublje neslaganje sa predlogom predsednika opštine Topola, Dragana Jovanovića, koji predviđa ubijanje pasa kao rešenje problema napuštenih životinja.
Ovakav pristup je nehuman, neprihvatljiv i protivan Zakonu o dobrobiti životinja Republike Srbije, koji jasno nalaže da se napuštene životinje ne smeju ubijati, već da se problem rešava kroz sterilizaciju, adekvatan smeštaj i udomljavanje.

ZAHTEVAMO:
Trenutno povlačenje predloga koji predviđa ubijanje pasa.
Primenu humanih rešenja, uključujući masovnu sterilizaciju, edukaciju stanovništva i podršku udruženjima za zaštitu životinja.
Odgovornost nadležnih institucija za sprovođenje zakona koji štite životinje.
Sankcionisanje svih koji podstiču ili sprovode nasilje nad životinjama.
Svako biće zaslužuje život, ljubav i brigu. Ubijanje nije rešenje – odgovorno vlasništvo, sterilizacija i adekvatna briga jesu!
