I'm tired of the public embarrassment that comes from the constant infighting within the Wests Tigers ownership. It needs to stop once and for all so the club can harmoniously progress into the future.Nick Hayes (Sydney, 2024-12-28)

I have been a long time supporter of Wests Tigers. Its time to remove self interests and ensure some proper governance on the HBG board. Julie, Dennis and their supporters are no longer acting on behalf of their members and are protected by an outdated and undemocratic debenture system. This needs to change to ensure that the power lies in a member driven, democratic process.Mark Reading (Singapore, 2024-12-28)
#14
The constitution of the HBG clearly allows itself to be manipulated disproportionately by debenture holders. This is an antiquated system that needs to be replaced.

I've had enough of the internal politics of the HBG board. The two people who are sabotaging the democratic operation of a legitimate concern for their own gratification had to be put to rest. For this reason I submit my name and support .
The Wests Tigers must be allowed to prosper and go forward competing in the NRL as it's own identity without any negative input from The board of HBG

The Wests Tigers are my club and I hate seeing what the current board is doing to it. This petition is designed to ensure that the recommendations of the review are actioned in a timely fashion. Wests Tigers UNITE!! 🐅🐅Kelly Hollis (Currans Hill, 2024-12-28)

I continue to be disgusted by the ignorant behaviour of the owners of Wests Tigers who constantly display archaic, delusional ideology that contributes to holding the club back from fulfilling its potential. We are united as WESTS TIGERS so get on board, implement ALL recommendations of the independent review or resign in disgrace. The chair is an utter embarrassment with the way she is behaving and needs to put misguided self interest aside and do the right thingMatthew Jordan (Nelson Bay, 2024-12-28)

The self interest of the HBG board members has gone on long enough. The Wests Tigers have been incompetently run for over 20 years and the board has shown no accountability for this or respected the due process regarding the external review. As a fan and a member I've spent more money on the club than any of these dinosaurs have spent on their debenture. Stand aside and let the people who know what they're doing run the club. I hold no confidence in the current leadership of the HBG or their ability to run the Wests Tigers.Kerry Frazer (Gold Coast, 2024-12-28)
#33

#43
I'm signing because I am fed up with petty indifferences erupting every year, threatening the stability and performance of our great Wests Tigers. When things at the Wests Tigers are finally looking hopeful with great management finally in charge with Richo, we should not have to be bombarded by constant infighting, threats of splitting the club, and negative media being released as a result of the idiotic and frankly childish management of HBG. We are now Wests Tigers and forever will be Wests Tigers. We need play as Wests Tigers in all grades, no more Wests Magpies or Balmain Tigers, only Wests Tigers. And the imbeciles in HBG that constantly threaten civil war and continue to leak stories to the media need to sort themselves out or be sacked. The fans do not and will not support the unmerging of the Wests Tigers, so HBG needs to do its job and support the club.Thomas Smith (Kelso, 2024-12-28)

For 25 years the factions on our board have cost us stability & success. The fans are united. The team is united. The coaches and CEO are united. The board? Not united at all. Leaking petty and selfish articles to the press and are working against all the strides we have made. I have zero faith in this board. Enough is enough. We demand an independent board who have the nous and the best interests of our this mighty club at heart. Times up.Carla Sindel (Sydney, 2024-12-28)
#49
Because change is needed and clear leadership is required! Our club is heading on the right path but seems people who can’t let go of the past would rather derail Wests Tigers more so than help push it along this victorious path we have commenced .Anthony Looker (Clermont, 2024-12-28)

I'm sick of the off field drama created by incompetent people in important roles. Hbg can do better.Peter Matten (Coffs harbour, 2024-12-28)

There is a slow but sure push to get rid of the Tigers. The jerseys and roar store items are more so black than the 3 colours of black white and gold. Tigers are not black! We should follow the Wests Tigers and not Balmain nor Western Suburbs.
When the Balmain Club couldn't maintain a financial equality on the board there seemingly has been a focus to ditch Leichhardt Oval and move back to magpies territory and eventually the Tigers will be a distant memory.

I have no faith in the HBG to professionally own the Wests Tigers. The chair and co-chair seem to strive for division in the Wests tigers, at a time where the club is finally looking positive again. Their need for public spotlight is killing this club and it’s image. The fact that I am in my early 20s and would act more mature and professional is concerning.Ethan Berrell (Camden, 2024-12-28)
#59
Firstly, the membership structure allows no meaningful contribution to the direction of the club, nor the ability to bring change when needed.Secondly and more importantly, HBG have repeatedly shown they have neither the requisite skill or the capacity to adopt change and bring in the necessary professional skills to operate an NRL club.
Performance both on and off the field is the worst in the competition for a period of time to demonstrate that root and branch reform is the only possible way to deliver a change in outcomes.
Adam Renshaw (Sydney, 2024-12-28)

We need to see through the recommendations. The people involved in stopping Wests Tigers becoming a successful club should not be in charge of HBG anymore. The dinosaurs needs to go. It’s time for a change and to see through the recommendations in FULL.Brandon Wills (Ermington, 2024-12-28)
#68
I am a Wests Tigers fan that is sick and tired of seeing the HBG board members run the Wests Tigers club into the ground, exhibit and adopt disgustingly poor governance practices and structures, and completely annihilate any chance of success for the Wests Tigers. They consistently bring the game into disrepute and it’s clear they do not have the best interests of the Wests Tigers at heart.
The debenture system at HBG is antiquated, creates an oligarchy, is a barrier to democratic processes and is far too removed from good governance practices.
This outdated and incompetent structure is bleeding into the Wests Tigers and is damaging the club’s brand.
The board at HBG is completely dysfunctional and board members refuse to incorporate good governance practices into both HBG and by extension, the Wests Tigers.
A change is needed to stop the rot and to ensure the long-term success and viability of Wests Tigers and HBG.
Sean McCarthy (Sydney, 2024-12-28)

Because I love my Mighty Tigers and I’m tired of the board dragging us down in the mire of mud, because they can’t /won’t get their act together. I want this great club to thrive, not die, because of the actions of a few power hungry board members.Leah Bradley (Wattle Grove, 2024-12-28)

I am calling for a review into Holman Barnes Group ownership to follow up on the recommendation passed onto them in their last review 2023Members deserve better than these self interested parties who put themselves before what is in the best interest of the club!

Time to stop the rot! Wests Tigers has been around for 25 years now. Stop living in the past. The people responsible for not following through recommendations are nothing but money and power hungry. We have the potential to be one of the biggest clubs in the NRL in the future. These dinosaurs want to ruin it and are stuck in a time capsule they can’t get out of and move forward with what’s present and that’s making Wests Tigers great for a long timeBrandon W (Sydney, 2024-12-28)

I’m signing because I feel there has to be genuine and permanent change to the ownership and board level of Wests Tigers, and by extension the primary owners and financial backers of Wests Tigers, the Holman Barnes Group.Further, by allowing a far more transparent and accountable ownership and board of both WT and HBG (which is also the primary owner and financial backer of not only Wests Ashfield, but also Balmain Tigers Football Club and the new Balmain Leagues club site at Rozelle) the club will grow, prosper and fulfil its destiny as the leading club in the NRL and therefore the world.

The only way to have a successful West Tigers team is by having a competent board who work as one. The present board is a disgrace and only have one agenda and that is themselves. The necessary governance changes that will allow the club to operate as an individual entity have not been completed. The reasons behind this appear to be being made by people who do not have the clubs best interests as a priority.I live a long way away now but I grew up in the Balmain district and played for St Gerard’s, St Pats Dundas and Five Dock. I supported the Magpies as my father did. I have both sides of the joint venture in my personal. However I have followed the Wests Tigers from day 1.

I am signing this petition as I do not have confidence in the current governance of the HBG and especially it’s chairman Romero and director Burgess to act honourably and have the best interests for the Wests Tigers football club. The HBG power struggle is not only childish, it is playing with the future of a club on the brink of turning years of terrible results around. The perception is the grab for power is only to serve personal agendas which are out of kilter with the wider fan base. Holding the club to ransom in this way has not gained any support, but alienated the supporters from the owners. Time to let the members vote and restore accountability.John Walters (Sydney, 2024-12-28)

As a member Iam sick and tired of the way this club is dragged through the mud by our governing body. I have no faith in Julie Romero & Dennis Burgess as board members as I don't believe they have the best interests of the Wests Tigers Rugby League Club, it's players, coaching staff & fans. I'm appalled by their treatment of fellow board members especially Mr Rick Wayde who's reputation is impeccable and has dedicated most of his adult life to firstly the Western Suburbs Magpies and since 2000 the Wests TigersDarryl Bain (Lansdowne 2430, 2024-12-28)

I signed the last petition and led to some amazing outcomes. In signing this petition, I am hoping for the outcome that is really the only one that will bring this club sustained success and trust in the club from our fanbase. This club needs to be run as an independent club and we should have all ties with Balmain and West's cut. We are the Wests Tigers and need to be one club in every facet, on field and off field. I’m signing this petition because, the Wests Tigers future constantly feels fragile under the current administration. As a Wests Tigers paying member, the fear of wasting my money on a club with a negative future seems dumb. And a negative future is always lurking in my mind under the current ownership. They are obviously not united, and the members of the board who talk commonsense, seem to be on the outer, and those who seem self interested, seem to be in control. It scares me that those who hold most of the power, seem more interested in themselves, than what’s best for the Wests Tigers. What’s best for the Wests Tigers, was summarised in a recent review, which so far, has been mostly ignored by said board members. I just have zero confidence that the people in charge, have the tools, or desire to make positive changesClayton Johns (Sydney, 2024-12-28)

25 years of watching this club lurch from embarrassment, to scandal, to further embarrassment is more than enough. Administrative decisions have held influence over our many years of failure, especially our incompetent past 3 years, through incessant meddling with the football department.People power forced an external review and a lot of it is being ignored. Enough is enough. Time to kick out the dead wood.

We’ve finally turned a corner as a professional NRL club after making the needed changes at an administration level to now see vested interests and power plays threaten to undo the work that’s already done.Anybody on the HBG board that is not 100% behind the Wests Tigers simply needs to go. Enough is enough and we can’t continue with this self serving leadership. Please get behind our CEO, chairman and see through what has been agreed to and what is on track to be delivered for the betterment of our club.

I'm a member & fan of over 35 years and am tired of our great club having its name dragged through the mud because of inept leaders at the top.The club has moved forward in such a positive direction but the fact that the board ,(dinosaurs) can't see past their own misguided governance and do the right thing for the club, sponsors, members & fans & put us all first instead of there own benifits means it's time to finally oust them.
