We have the worst connectivity I've heard of. It took 11 weeks forme to change Internet provider as they kept coming up with faults on the line from the hub in Charlestown to our house. Engineer said it just wasn't fit for purposeGeorgina Lyle (Fife, 2022-03-15)

I feel an upgrade of our copper fibre network in favour of ultra fast full fibre broadband would benefit our community ,particularly in light of ever increasing demands placed on our current system . Plus we are having increasing breakdowns which can only be temporarily repaired..Diane Templeton (Limekilns, Dunfermline, 2022-03-16)

The network is outdated and what spare capacity for repairs and back up has now been used up. We see consistent drop outs of links entirely which has been more noticeable with an increasing need to work from home and interact with people by video conference. We personally are at the furthest point from the FTTC so have low speeds which do not meet the minimum requirements the operators state.

We are becoming more reliant upon the internet to communicate with others. This includes research in the absence of easy access to health services, communicating with our local council as well as shopping. Our community is not well situated to access transport which makes face to face meetings or shopping in person difficult.
We need the cabling to our homes updated.
