(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

I wouldnt mind the change if it were equal but its not. Why? Is it because we distract boys? Cause if so, boys are even more stupid than i thought, letting a pencil skirt distract them from using their own pencil. Pathetic.

(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

#58

I'm signing because my friends go to this school and don't want them to walk about like a bunch of nuns also none of the girls had a choice #widnybeme

(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

#61

I think the girls hold be able to wear a skirt of there choice but at a respectable length I wore a skirt like this in first year at st Andrews but that was In 1981 !!!!

(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

#62

I'm signing because I believe that children should have a say on what they want to wear and some feel very uncomfortable in these types of skirts, they say they out young people first.... Well it surely don't look like this.

(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

#67

Now in Nazi Germany this would be tolerated, full and proper uniform. But now, now its 2017 and this does not please the Führer!

(Berlin, 2017-07-11)

#68

Horrible horrible

(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

#70

I'm signing because this is a horrible and unflattering skirt and we should be forced on what we should and shouldn't wear because we mostly should be caring about our education not the way we look

(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

#74

My daughter attends st andrews.

(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

#77

freedom of choice... you cannot chose if there is only one option.

(glasgow, 2017-07-11)

#78

It's not fair for all of the people who have bought their children school skirts already as they may not have the budget to pay for these skirts aswell as the blazer, tie, pe top, shoes etc

(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

I feel the school is behaving in an unreasonable manner by introducing this. Not only are they doing a dis-service to the young people by only providing one option of a style of skirt they are also placing a lot of pressure on parents to have to purchase items only from this website. As most people know there are a variety of price options available and I feel strongly that parents should be able to have the choice of where they purchase uniforms from and how much they pay.

I can understand the school wanting skirts to be of a particular length to prepare young people for the workplace by encouraging them to wear professional looking outfits but I think there are other ways of doing this.

St Andrew's have a good reputation as a school. They are located in an area where their learning community contains areas of multiple deprivation and in this instance they run the risk of causing financial difficulties for many of the families within their community.

(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

#85

I do not like theee skirts and I think a lot of other people wid agree they are horrible

(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

Some people don't feel majorly comfortable in skirts like this and you are forcing it upon them.

(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

#88

(Glasgow, 2017-07-11)

#94

I'm signing in support of my grandaughter who is one of many that are being forced to wear that hideous skirt, also what if a lot of parents have already bought there daughters uinform does the school intend to recompense them or buy the new skirts for all of the girls.

(Glasgow, 2017-07-12)

Consultation! I was suspended in 1977 for daring to think of wearing trousers. It's unimaginable that in 2017, young women are still being oppressed by limiting their chioces of school uniform. Misogyny alive and well in St Andrew's 2017.
Don't wear it girls!

(Southport, 2017-07-12)

#103

This is absolutely disgusting..you can't just make us wear what ever you want because of the "highest school expectations", we have a right to wear whatever we want and a school is to also let us express ourselves. Not to feel different and disgusting in these skirts.

(Glasgow, 2017-07-12)

#105

my daughter go here n this skirt is pure gash!!!

#119

The girls should be allowed to wear skirts they feel comfortable in not ones that only go to a certain size! And wouldn't flatter anyone totally disappointed

(Glasgow, 2017-07-13)

#125

My daughter has never liked this skirt from primary school and won't wear it so therefore will not attend school if she has to wear this and I know lots of girls who feel the same it's just not fair although I'm a parent who is all up for kids going to school looking high standard and very smart but changes are not needed

(Glasgow, 2017-07-16)

#126

I'm signing because I don't want to walk about school with a flowly skirt on, they blow up in the wind and aren't very comfertable, there is nothing wrong with the skirts we wear just now.
