I use Peverell library often, not just for borrowing but also for the computers. It is small, friendly and central. I have used it for approx 15 years. It is a good local meeting point.

The library is really important to me and my family. It is also of major importance to the community. It's loss to Efford wold be significant. I use the computer and books. My son uses the job club. We have used it to collect recycling bags, get bus card etc etc. My children have used it since being babies. It is an integral part of our life. it is the sort of service i am happy to pay my council tax for. It should continue as a right for all people in Efford - many of whom cannot afford to travel into town to use the central one.

I use the Peverell library frequently and find it accessible ,friendly and used by all age groups for a vast variety of activities. The library is next to a playgroup who use it, a shop is opposite with a chemist and hairdresser and a church and the Park
is over the road. It is a micro community in a busy city and it is more accessible now that the central library has been relocated to the city centre.
Decisions should be made to enhance the communities not to appease the bean counters. If the council wishes to save money perhaps they should look at h is much of their budget is spent on taxis .

If the library in peverell closes, we won't use others, we use this weekly for our 2 children, it cannot close. Plymouth is slowly disintegrating and we need as many amenities to remain

You are preparing the young for uncritical obedience for class dominance by rich ruling elite inculcating children to accept their position in life, like,"Little pieces of putty to be moulded on the educational kneading board"

Because my local Stoke library is one of my friend's children's favourite places to visit, it helps keep them excited about reading, a crucial step in battling back against low levels of literacy. It's the place I meet and tutor A level students sitting their A levels independently, after provision in the area closed, it's the place support groups, parent groups and community activities are held. Because it's filled with books.

(Plymouth, 2017-03-06)

#143

I've loved reading all my life and feel that it's improved both my knowledge and my vocabulary I feel that it's important that everyone should have access to books both as learning tools and for the sheer fun that reading can provide.

(Plymouth, 2017-03-07)

#147

My daughter loves a trip to the library and without it her reading would not have progressed as well as it has. Also, although not unemployed myself, I understand that in order to continue recieving job seekers allowance, those who are unemployed have to register every day with the job centre. I know that some unemployed people cannot afford to pay for broadband at home, so this could massively impact their income chances.

(Plymouth, 2017-03-07)
