Rejection : City Power Electricity Service Fee ( Gauteng Province)

Comments

#1402

The electricity price per unit has increased by more than double the inflation rate which alone is hideous. The average consumer cannot afford the additional R200 on top of unit price hike.

Luke Waspe (Johannesburg, 2024-07-03)

#1403

I'm signing because we are severely impacted by the continuous increases in all services, and services are not rendered properly. Cannot afford all of this anymore

Sandri Hulbert (Randburg, 2024-07-03)

#1404

I’m signing because I think this is not fair to consumers, why should there be a service fee added? Electricity is overcharged as it is. It is inhumane and unacceptable.

Halima Cowan (Johannesburg, 2024-07-03)

#1409

Because I won't afford the increase

Nokwanda Sibobi (Johannesburg, 2024-07-03)

#1410

We live in a country where we can’t afford basic needs, we live beyond our means that’s not on. Even after elections

Tasha Siziba (Johannesburg, 2024-07-03)

#1411

I don't agree with these additional charges

Derek Pillay (Johannesburg, 2024-07-03)

#1412

The cost of living is so high. The fact that only 6 parties signed off, to me, is not a majority. Furthermore, we were nit given enough notice for this change. But most of all, it is really unfair to bring this about all of a sudden. We chose prepaid so we can monitor how much we use. We barely make ot thru the month with the electricity and now with this unnecessary charge, we get fewer units and now have to look at alternatives to replace the electricity. This is bringing the country Further down.

Fyona Khan (Roodepoort, 2024-07-03)

#1413

This is daylight robbery and people will suffer

Nkanyiso Ndlovu (Alveda Park, 2024-07-03)

Rejection of city power fee

Portia Maduna (Johannesburg, 2024-07-03)

#1438

I find the R200 monthly fee service, irrational and I'm of the opinion that
City power leadership lacks the human decency in them to know and acknowledge social and economic challenges we are facing as the citizens.

Further more the reality on the ground is that the majority of the working class are swimming in a pool of Debts.

Moloko Raphahlelo (Midrand, 2024-07-03)

#1439

This was imposed on us without proper consultation and places further hardships on the poor

Chris Jansen van Rensburg (Elandspark, 2024-07-03)

#1472

I don't have money to subsidise City Power for their incompetence.

Eugene Bauling (Johannesburg, 2024-07-03)

#1476

Busisiwe Siza (Roodepoort, 2024-07-03)

#1483

I'm signing this because what City Power and NERSA are doing is a lot of hogwash.
We are being marginalized as the poor and they continue to show poor leadership in the service delivery.
No one should pay for meters while they can't even afford electricity.

Mkhay Motseng (Johannesburg, 2024-07-03)

#1484

I do not agree with this R200 additional cost which makes electricity too expansive. What informs this increase & why is CP passing on maintenance costs on to the consumers

#1486

I cannot afford to pay the electricity fee, I reject the electricity fee initiated by city power

Felicia Sibiya (Alberton, 2024-07-03)

Wynand Botha (Randburg, 2024-07-03)

#1489

#1491

I'm against the additional charge and the tsriff increase for pre paid electricity

Angelina Mdakane (Joburg, 2024-07-03)

#1492

The government is crippling the working class and killing the poor people... that they have created by their mismanagement and theft. Eventually we will all be very poor and youl have the very rich thieves.

Shereen Benefeld (Johannesburg, 2024-07-03)

#1493

Me and my wife are pensioners struggling to survive and this electricity tax is a total rip-off and overreach by the people who feel they have freedom to implement these draconian fees at will. It must be scrapped. There's no need for a referendum to decide on the matter. Just scrap it. I refuse to pay for it. Other than that, City Power can come remove their prepaid meter entirely.

Eone Crotz (Roodepoort, 2024-07-03)

#1495

I am signing because I do not agree with service fee. There is a lot that I have to attend with the little money that I earn.

Nomxolisi Baleni (Johannesburg, 2024-07-03)

#1497

Gatvol of municipality poor service and corruption where paying customers have to pay more and more because of incompetence, corruption and illegal connections and what more!

We are all suffering. We cannot afford to pay these extra amounts, if we fail to pay, we get cut off. Yet people that connect illegally and bypass meters will always have power even during loadshedding and load reduction.

The only people that suffers is the paying customers!

Ons is gatvol verby!

Shezaad Sedibeng (Gauteng, 2024-07-03)

#1507

I disagree with the service fee imposed by city power as the rest of the country is also consuming electricity but they don't have to pay a service fee and also be subjected to hours of load reduction. Mismanagement of funds is the problem at Eskom and city power..

Ricardo Harwood (Johannesburg, 2024-07-03)

I'm against this new monthly service fee, charged by city power. It very unfair and oppressive to ward us as customers who are already struggling to make a living I these tough economic times.
