Horses and livestock should always be considered

Fiona Young (Essex, 2020-10-21)

#802

I feel that there should be a more appropriate site found and the fireworks moved to a more suitable location.

Peter Blackett (carshalton, 2020-10-21)

#803

Fireworks need to be controlled and away from built up areas, and particularly where there are vulnerable people and animals, for who fireworks are not enjoyable. Have the display, but move it out of harms way.

Jim Tate (London, 2020-10-21)

#809

The way fireworks frighten our three dogs I believe all fireworks should be silent. There is no need for fireworks that are louder than an army cannon - these noisy ones also frighten our great grandchildren and not just the dogs.

John Smith-Warren (Wakefield, 2020-10-21)

#811

This intention to have fireworks near animals of any description is totally out of order. Must be banned! What are these idiots thinking?

Brenda Cooper-Goodman (Burgh le marsh, 2020-10-21)

#812

my dog has several nights terrified from the fireworks. no matter how much i tried to comfort her

barry williamson (wotrhing, 2020-10-21)

#815

I’m signing this because not only is this fireworks display surrounded by land with animals on, but also with COVID-19 a large gathering is stupid and totally irresponsible

Linda Aston (Newmarket, 2020-10-21)

#821

I care for animals.

Stuart Fraser (Hamstreet, 2020-10-21)

#822

I think fireworks create
environmental pollution. The noise of fireworks frightens animals and some humans.

Ian Herne (Uxbridge, 2020-10-21)

#826

This is cruelty

Clare TWOMEY (Cork, 2020-10-21)

#829

Firework displays should only be held well away from livestock and homes where pets may live.

Jane Pacy (Bedford, 2020-10-21)

#830

I think all fireworks should be banned.
Having had a dog and knowing others with pets that are absolutely terrified of them, no living thing should be subject to this yearly agony.

Janet Cartwright (Sedgley, 2020-10-21)

#836

I have pets if my own who are terrified of fireworks

Barbara Walker (Hull, 2020-10-21)

#837

Fireworks should never be held near to livestock/domestic pets etc.

Tricia Steel (Needham Market, 2020-10-21)

#840

It is a disgrace hat fireworks are available to anyone. Only professionals should have access to these. As usual, it is the lobby of these companies that stops legislating.

sandrina carosso (London, 2020-10-21)

#841

The proposed event is in a very inappropriate location .

Jan Eagle (Holmfirth, 2020-10-21)

#842

Fireworks have no place near animals of any kind. Personally, I think that only authorised displays should take place, after a risk assessment has been carried out and the rest should be banned.

Gill Baker (Tunbridge Wells, 2020-10-21)

#843

I'm signing because large firework displays should not be held in close proximity to people and animals.

Susan Short (Birmingham, 2020-10-21)

#844

They are dangerous and should be banned

Nadine McGough (Rochdale, 2020-10-21)

#845

I believe that it should be moved to a more appropriate site so that animals and vulnerable people are not cruelly
exposed to the noise. I have 2 cats and 1 that is terrified of fireworks and loud noises, I see the stress it causes. I also worry about the wildlife and animals outside. It is a very selfish act to not consider the impact it is having. If it can be moved to a more appropriate site then that should be the case.

Laura Griffin (HAVANT, 2020-10-21)

#847

Fireworks pollute our air, terrify animals and people and harm property. They are incompatible with our need to save our environment from air pollution and our precious animals and birds from harm. We need an environmentally friendly alternative to fireworks now.

Sylvia Browning (London, 2020-10-21)

#848

My dog is terrified

Jane Izard (London, 2020-10-21)

Pauline Bunner (Llanymynech, 2020-10-21)

#853

It is very wrong to have a fireworks display close to where animals are kept it would be very frightening an stressful for them so please hold this far away where it will not upset animals or anyone else!!

Frances Summers (Kissonerga, 2020-10-21)

#862

Not only do fireworks cause terror to vulnerable people and animals, they cause a lot of air pollution and at a time of climate change we should not be polluting the air any more than is necessary

Anne Spiers (Bradford, 2020-10-21)

#863

This really isn’t fair to the local concentration of animals. 2 nights in a row is excessive. Find a more suitable location like a stadium to let of your high explosives.

Dennis Hughes (Bristol, 2020-10-21)

#864

Whilst I enjoy fireworks I believe this display to be ill conceived and totally misplaced, I would greatly appreciate the organisers moving the venue to a more appropriate area as far away from livestock, domestic animals and at risk humans as possible.

Christopher Keller (EAST GRINSTEAD, 2020-10-21)

#866

Fireworks should be silent

Paul Clark (Gateshead, 2020-10-21)

#868

Mark bull (CAMBRIDGE, 2020-10-21)

#870

The suffering of those farm animals listening to the bangs and noise of the fireworks will terrify them

Pauline Stephenson (Pulborough, 2020-10-21)

#871

Fireworks and animals are a bad mix for the animals

Chris Fallows (Dalton in Furness, 2020-10-21)

#875

It’s time people thought about anime’s more. How would they like to be frightened by noises they did not know what was happening.

Babd Jones (Manchestet, 2020-10-21)

#877

I think not enough thought is giveN to the welfare of animals and livestock when a large display is planned close to farms and livestock. In addition, it is still a public gathering which is not desirable during the current Pandemic.

Michelle Woods (Poole, 2020-10-21)

Fireworks are dangerous not only to animals but to people and the environment.

Lozz Starseed (Warrington, 2020-10-21)

Eleanor Cartwright (Kings lynn, 2020-10-21)

#908

There are far too many firework displays now all through out the year, it's so cruel to animals that live out as well as domestic pets.

Irene Gill (Gt. missenden, 2020-10-21)

#909

Firework displays should be licensed and only twice a year

Kevin Ridsdale (Henley-on-Thames, 2020-10-21)

#912

I have a horse that would be extremely upset by this

Samantha Level (Newton Aycliffe, 2020-10-21)

#913

I'm signing because firework displays wherever they are clearly terrify domestic pets and wildlife and create unnecessary anxiety to pet owner some of whom have to have their pets tranquilised, pollute the air we breath and make life miserable for those who wish to live in peace!

John Arthur (Ryton, 2020-10-21)

#916

I’m signing this as I feel fireworks REALLY DONT NEED TO BE NOISY... & I whole heartedly worry for our wildlife, all for 1 or 2 nights entertainment ...😡

Jeanne Longhurst (Ilford, 2020-10-21)

#933

I have animals that are terrified

John Charnick (Ipswich, 2020-10-21)

#939

Stop holding firework displays neat animals.

Jane Nash (Warrington, 2020-10-21)

Diane Lloyd-Jones (CILCAIN, MOLD, 2020-10-21)

#949

Fireworks are detrimental and damaging to wildlife and cause terror and injury to domestic and wild animals and birds. They are completely unnecessary and should be banned.

Sairey Stemp (London, 2020-10-21)

#950

This is shocking and should NOT be permitted.

Linda-Jane Devlin (Glasgow, 2020-10-21)

#956

Because animals are terrified.

Sue Webster (Walsall. West Midlands, 2020-10-21)

#960

I agree with the author, that this will cause unnecessary stress to the local population be it animal or human, it should either be banned or moved to a more suitable location.

Debby Leyland (LLANGEFNI, 2020-10-21)

#962

I'm signing because I am a 'Human Mummy', to a wonderful Puss-Cat. He absolutely HATES Fireworks with a vengence. He'll either hide, or he'll crouch on the stairs (between the ground floor or the 1st floor. It's excruciating for most kitty cats, therefore, I think that they shoud.ve been banned from public sale decades ago. There, I've had my say!

Jaguar Maloney (London, 2020-10-21)

#965

I care about animals. I also respect the other concerns.

Margaret Hamilton (Uckfield, 2020-10-21)

I urge you to move the fireworks to an area that has been properly licensed, insured or even registered with the local police, council or fire brigade. I authorise Charles Timbs, the author of this petition, to hand over my signature to those who have power o this issue.

Dorothea Schwab (Glasgow, 2020-10-21)

Bill Martin (Llanelli, 2020-10-21)

#984

It is thoughtless and selfish to inflict the misery of fireworks upon people and animals in this way, and far out on moorland would be much more suitable, less selfish and more intelligent!

Valerie Batty (Doncaster, 2020-10-21)

#990

Stephen Bamber (Invergordon, 2020-10-21)

#993

Fire works need serious regulation and should not be near any pets or livestock..

STUART Frost (Coventry, 2020-10-21)

#994

I hate fireworks they should be abolished the harm they cause to animals is too much, Very thoughtless of the organisers too hold it right next to an area that has animals. My dog gets so stressed barks continually for 4 hours having heard them despite having something to calm him.
