We demand the leadership of CHFT, GHCCG & CCCG be replaced

The hospital is great and with a larger community now partially due to the new university enlargements and housing. Getting to Calderdale not for out lying areas Think Hard before you do this , think of future expenses incurred in doing this as against keeping HRI especially as money has been spent with new windows etc

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-04)

#612

We need our hospital and i do not believe anyone has a right to close it when we pay for it. We are a major town with a large population and university but not a hospital ludicrous idea.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#613

Huddersfield NEEDS it’s own Hospital

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#618

With an increase in population , both in housing , students to uni , overcrowded roads and at least 3/4 of an hour to any other hospital , a generation of much older people living longer , many more children in overpopulated schools , how can anyone see any sense in reducing HRI hospital , this is a crisis waiting to happen , no wonder it looks like it`s all down to finances .

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#619

Calderdale Royal will never cope with the increased volume.Travel is to it is out of the question.Huddersfield is to big to lose its hospital. The CCG have refused to listen to the views of Huddersfield residents.

(BRIGHOUSE, 2017-10-05)

#620

These plans are detrimental to health care in Kirklees. The management and supervision is incompetent and unprofessional.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#621

People will die if this change goes ahead

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#622

We want and need our hospital

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#626

I categorically feel we need the A&E and HRI to stay in situ in Huddersfield. We are a growing community along with a large University campus.
The bypass into Halifax and into Barnsley are horrendous whichever time of day you travel; if you depend on public transport for my family it takes 2 or 3 buses each being a very long journey especially if disabled like i am.
I dread to think what would occur if the road was blocked or diversions where put in place.
Please save our local hospital and A&E ..

(HUDDERSFIELD, 2017-10-05)

#627

Absolute shambles, They must GO now before they screw the whole of OUR NHS up

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#628

These changes do not make sense and keep changing. Huddersfield is a large town and needs much accident & hospital provision - not a downgrade. We cannot travel on public transport, congested roads, to another town.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#629

This decision is both ludicrous and dangerous!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#632

We need both hospitals. I live equidistant between the two it takes 10mins to Huddersfield and up to 40 to get to Halifax. The new road system will not make any difference and where are all these extra people to park you can't do that now and there is no extra space to build extra parking. All this is just because of Calderdale debt.

(Brighouse, 2017-10-05)

#640

I have no confidence that the NHS Foundation Trust, Greater Huddersfield and Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Group have the best interests of the people they are supposed to serve in mind. Huddersfield is a large town, covering a large area and many outlying villages. Huddersfield is a University town, and home to a large football club. Huddersfield needs its own A&E and fully functioning hospital. The residents of Huddersfield deserve a competent Commissioning Group who holds Huddersfield residents, full-time and term-time, and visitors needs at the heart of future plans. I do not trust the current Group to make a properly informed and balanced decision as they appear to have made the decision without considering all the facts.

(Holmfirth, 2017-10-05)

#643

Halifax is not big enough to serve both areas we need both which as been shown in the past.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#645

Huddersfield is far too large a town with an ever rising population to be denied its own hospital with full A&E provision
Lives should come before money
/profit
How the CCG are practicing doctors beggars belief

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#646

I agree

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#647

Huddersfield is a very large university town and the increasing numbers of students need a decent local hospital as well as the needs of the local people. We have already lost our maternity services among others to Calderdale too. It's disgraceful that a town as large as Huddersfield has to bail out Calderdale's PFI debt.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#648

I'm signing this petition as the plans are deeply flawed, Huddersfield needs a full service hospital. The option of developing Halifax is flawed and unsuitable to to its location and existing PFI debts

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#649

We need a functioning A & E in Huddersfield it's been proven time and again Calderdale hospital can't handle everything that's been thrown at it so far. Not only that but we are now a Premiership town, we have an ever expanding college and University and we are also the closest hospital to the M62 where a lot of accidents happen xx

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#651

I'm sick of the self-serving trying to hoodwink and degrade the general population. Huddersfield needs its A&E and the people meant to be defending the needs of the Huddersfield people have abandoned them.

(Wakefield, 2017-10-05)

#655

They are not fit for purpose

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#657

The ordinary people are never listened to.

(huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#658

Because the leadership have totally misled the people, and have total disregard of the people in Huddersfield. No confidence in them what so ever.

(HUDDERSFIELD, 2017-10-05)

#659

Such a large place we need our hospital

(Holmfirth, 2017-10-05)

#660

It is absolutely diabolical that this could have even have been considered. Many many Huddersfield people are extremely worried and upset by this awful plan.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#663

Took shuttle bus to Calderdale last week at 1pm it took bus 40 mins to travel from bottom of aimless to salterhebble Hill that’s is before roadworks had it had been an ambulance all lanes were blocked these drivers are not magicians

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#671

We've worked too hard for our NHS for it to be squandered for the fincial gain of a few.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-05)

#676

Huddersfield is a large town that needs a hospital big enough to support the ever increasing population of the town. Why should Huddersfield loose it's hospital because of the debt from the PFI agreement at crh which was made before the 2 trusts joined together. The money that will be needed to increase capacity at crh , should be used for HRI &the people of Huddersfield. Our facilities should be getting better not worse in this day & age. How are patients &visitors expected to travel to Halifax. Families with young children, anyone with mobility problems, the elderly. I thought the CCG was there to make decisions in the best interests of the people of Huddersfield & surrounding area. Not make them worse!!

(huddersfield, 2017-10-06)

#678

We need a & e full stop!!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-06)

#680

I am signing because I think it is vital that a new, large hospital be built to prevent loss of life and also to stop very poorly people being forced to travel around the country to the detriment of the patient and their friends and relatives.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-06)

#683

It is ridiculous that a town this size with a large student population won’t have an A@E

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-06)

It is ridiculous that a town this size with a large student population won’t have an A@E

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-06)

#688

We need our hospital..

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-06)

#690

i dont want to lose our hospital, its a necessity, not a luxury.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-06)

#691

ridiculous notion to close this very much needed hospital, the town is growing all the time. WE NEED HRI

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-06)

#692

I'm signing this petition because both the CCG & CHFT are out of their depth with their plans for CHFT

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-06)

#695

People who are not truthful, progressional and transparent should NOT be making decisions as big as these. We have NIL confidence in them!

(HUDDERSFIELD, 2017-10-06)

#697

I believe the people of huddersfield need their hospital. I have four young children to consider growing up in this area without a hospital is insane. The ccg and trust need to resign effective immediately

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-06)

#699

People will die if these ludicrous plans go ahead!!!! My family & I do not want to be traveling all the way to Calderdale should we need urgent medical treatment!!!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-06)

#701

HRI saved my life and I am totally bemused by what these so-called Professionals are proposing to do with our hospital. I am also totally disgusted by the misleading information being given to the public of Huddersfield.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-07)

#703

My Dad recently died in HRI but because we live at Lindley I was able to spend 24/7 with him without worrying about travel and parking. Also my husbands life was saved by HRI and I cannot believe the destruction of staff and services that these clowns are planning - no doubt they are all nicely covered with private health plans at tax payers expense.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-07)

#704

As a larger town we need our Hri, people's life's are at risk expecting emergency services to get to Halifax at any time especially rush hour is ridiculous.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-07)

#705

we in huddersfield need er services+not our det

(huddersfield, 2017-10-07)

#706

I believe that Huddersfield is a large town with a large population which deserves and requires it's own Hospital and A & E department. To ask people to travel to Calderdale is a risk to lives and a theft of our services.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-07)

#708

I don't want the HRI to close

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-07)

#710

Waiting lists are long enough as it is, travelling to Halifax takes a long time and is not easy for people without their own transport or unable to drive because of illness or treatments, people will die because of this. Huddersfield is growing more people moving here, more housing developments equals more people Calderdale hospital is not big enough or close enough to accommodate the growth of both towns. It’s fine for those people making these ridiculous decisions who can afford private health care but most of us cannot do this. It’s disgusting the lack of care amongst those making these decisions.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-08)

#719

I believe that a town as large as Huddersfield, with a growing University population needs a hospital which is accessible. It also near to the motorway network, which means accident victims can be treated quickly in hospital.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-10)

#721

Think it's disgusting, to close h r I

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-10)

#724

A large population needs local emergency care, we need a hospital! Deal with the PFI farce!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-11)

#727

Our town needs the services. More schools, hotels uni buildings planned by the council. Ever more people, patients and no services. A joke.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-11)

#730

It is essential that Huddersfield keeps it's Infirmary. It's not right to try to recoup the money owed for Calderdale by robbing the people of Huddersfield of their much needed Infirmary.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-13)

#731

I am very concerned that the local health care will be seriously damaged, especially with an ageing demograph.

(Meltham, Holmfirth, 2017-10-14)

#732

You are putting people's lives at risk. You have had so much proof that this will not work but for some reason or other only know to yourselves you are still happy to put people at risk. What will you do when it is one of your own family or are they mot important to you also. None of you who condone this are fit for the job and as you have been warned that people will die I hope they sue you to he'll and back.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-14)

#735

We all need to do this

(Yorkshire, 2017-10-15)

#738

This is disgusting to think about shutting hri like we don’t need it!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-15)

#739

We need our local hospital

(West Yorkshire, 2017-10-15)

#740

These morons are going to have a lot of blood on their hands.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-16)

#744

After working at HRI for 30 years on various wards & now on an acute medical unit for the last 18 months in Oldham I have an insight into the need for emergency care for many conditions. Time & treatment is of the essence! The care from paramedics in an ambulance is excellent but the many facilities ( number of people, their various specialities, machinery, access to obtaining results asap ( scanners, x ray, blood analysis), actual blood products in emergency ( transfusion etc) emergency 'crash trolley' )
The above is just a&e but they also apply to wards. People can deteriorate after routine surgery & in general unexpectedly & not having the available treatment there could cost lives.
How much time would be spent in an ambulance? Many times there wasn't enough icu beds. What if a patient needs one unexpectedly or for major surgery? Will the amount double?
How big will the operating theatre area be? Double the amount so they can carry out the same amount in our ever increasing population in Huddersfield?
I would be very surprised if the above happened. Bed capacity is already very high & people waiting too long in a&e, & surgery cancelled.
Not enough beds, lack of acute care in Huddersfield, using the bypass to Halifax especially at busy times could well cost people's lives!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-16)

#749

2 large towns should mean 2 separate well run and well staffed hospitals! These people wanting to change this are deluded and only wanting to make money at the cost of people's lives!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-17)

#750

We all need accident and Emergency before people die, so let's get rid of the stupid people that want to close it..........

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-17)

#753

It is about time the powers that be got into the real world and realised that having one A&E for the whole of Kirklees and Calderdale is TOTALLY unworkable Lives will be lost as travel time will be increased and those who have furthest to travel will seriously have their lives compromised

(Halifax, 2017-10-18)

#754

We need an A&E that is open 24hrs a day, we need people who understand & care about peoples lives not someone who thinks figures look good on paper!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-18)

#756

We need to keep our hospital

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-19)

#760

I believe the members of the CCG are not representing the interests of the people of Huddersfield. They have consulted on lies after lies. They are dishonest.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-19)

#761

In the 21st Century we NEED a group who represent OUR needs , not just take out of the money-pot for their own ends while the ill are dying unecessarily due to their lack of foresight!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-19)

#762

This plan to close our hospital and make people travel for miles to the next nearest is a disgrace. There is no other reason for this travesty apart from a PFI scheme dragging both hospital down.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-20)

#769

Huddersfield needs HRI

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-20)

#774

My children was born here and I was in intensive care for 2 weeks. You can't rip the heart and soul out of huddersfields life line to local people. It's a abolishment to our society.

(Gold Coast, 2017-10-20)

#775

I’m signing because I believe the CCG does not have the best interests of the public in mind.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-20)

#777

I'm local and need this hospital

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-20)

#778

It's unthinkable not to have a&e in a town this big

(Holmfirth, 2017-10-20)

#786

I am passionate about the nhs ..... the reasons it was set up have long been forgotten. It's about saving money not patients and staff.
We nee a and e in hudds it is the largest town in England????

(Halifax, 2017-10-20)

#787

The huge demands on the nhs finances , and the wages paid to this group of individuals is eye watering on top of their standard wages.

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-20)

#797

I Strongly Believe we Need FULL Services at HRI !!

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-20)

#799

I care!,

(Huddersfield, 2017-10-20)
