This is so important - we need more green space, not less!!!

Kate Levinstein (Long Beach, 2021-01-02)

#402

This was promised to be a park years ago. I hate the way money talks on planning issues, rather than listening to the residents.

Stuart Galloway (Long Beach , 2021-01-02)

#404

Our city needs more green space and no more storage space. The green space will increase the attraction of the city.

Jennifer Styzens (Long Beach, 2021-01-02)

#407

Covid-19 has shown how residents in West and North Long Beach are disproportionately impacted. These area also have poor air quality. Instead of making efforts to improve air quality for these neighborhoods, this project will make the conditions even worse. We need more green space/ urban forests, not a junk yard!!

Kay Chau (Long Beach, 2021-01-02)

#408

I’m signing because my son attends Los Cerritos Elementary. Long Beach needs more trees!

Alice Marrufo (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

#417

What happens at the river park site affects all Long Beach residents.

Caitlin Fouratt (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

#418

Yes, underserved and underrepresented areas of cities ESPECIALLY need green spaces for their especially stressed citizens! I myself would like to green up school campuses in the area myself. Please provide what amounts to therapeutic spaces for the population, and especially for the kids of the West Side!

Mike Letteriello (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

#419

The community needs living green spaces, the river needs its floodplain, climate change.

Melanie Winter (Studio City, 2021-01-03)

#423

I’m signing because I want complete and full disclosure as to what’s happening with this plot

Grayson Brooke (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

Felice Bachrach (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

#427

I believe the City of Long Beach needs more green space for human recreation and for wildlife habitats.

Ralph Heilemann (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

#430

Our city officials and elected politicians have to be reminded that we the people still have a voice and will hold them accountable for destroying the fabric of this great city called Long Beach ....

Bill Byrnes (Long Beach , 2021-01-03)

#433

We need to support Green Space on the West side of town.

Janie Williams (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

David Jorgenson (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

#440

I am concerned about the possible environmental impacts to schoolchildren at nearby Los Cerritos School.

Marya Mazor (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

The area should be cleaned and made available as parkland for the citizens of Long Beach can use for many, many years.

Sharon Denham (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

#447

It’s my community!

Bridget Bojorquez (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

#453

I live in west long beach and think more green space is important.

Lissa Morales (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

#455

I'm signing because I live in east Long Beach and it's not fair that this is the only portion of the city that has adequate open parkland. All residents of Long Beach deserve to have open space. Creating a space that will bring in more pollution and less open land is against the city's expressed desire to create more open space in west Long Beach. The fact that this was a former toxic dump site provides us the opportunity now to correct a historical wrong. We only get one shot at this.

Aaron Moore (Long Beach, 2021-01-03)

#459

Because we need the city of Long Beach to respect its commitments to its citizenry. We also need green clean space along the LA River!

Laura Ceia (Long Beach, CA, 2021-01-03)

#463

I’m signing because park space is running out and we need to protect Long Beach’s undeveloped space

Tiffany Bolton (Long Beach, 2021-01-04)

#466

EIRs keep developers in line

LM Harris (Long Beach, 2021-01-04)

#469

I am signing because the quality of life of every Long Beach resident comes before profit. Parks and green space are important to the health and wellness of every community. Not only are West and North Long Beach lacking in accessible green space. The proposal to build an RV storage facility brings insignificant tax revenues and economic activity to weigh against the public health benefits of green space for this community.

Anthony Brenneman (Long Beach, 2021-01-04)

#471

My son goes to school (Intellectual Virtues Academy) near the site, we have many friends in that part of town, and we recognize the importance of protecting this vital part of the city.

Keith Vescial (Long Beach, 2021-01-04)

#473

I want more parks, not parking lot.

Jessica Penaflor (Long Beach, 2021-01-04)

#476

My children go to Los Cerritos school and I do not want an RV park close to the school! We need more green space!

Cynthia Cordova (Long Beach, 2021-01-04)

#478

I’m signing because I don’t want any RV parking lot or strangers destroying our park and safety issues for the students of Cerritos Elementary school.

Emmie Morales (Long beach, 2021-01-04)

#479

I'm signing because it would be wrong to bury this mess without a proper EIR.

Ryan Daly (Long Beach, 2021-01-04)

#481

I live on Del Mar Avenue approximately 500 yards from the contamination site.

Edwin Sullivan (Long Beach, 2021-01-04)

#482

I believe the West Long Beach community is in serious need of more greenspaces, not storage space.

Dillon O'Donohue (90806, 2021-01-04)

#488

I am deeply concerned about the proposed development at 3701 Pacific Place. We are in dire need of more green space, especially along the LA River corridor. We need a full EIR of the project.

Joshua Frank (Long Beach, 2021-01-04)

#491

I live near the site and refuse to allow this parking lot construction to occur. The near by parks are what brought us to this neighborhood. The air is bad enough. No sense in creating more damage to the area.

Miguel Vasquez (Long Beach, 2021-01-04)

#492

I live close to this site, and we want to keep the park. We do not want the traffic or pollution caused by a new development.

Mary Brannon (Long Beach, 2021-01-04)

#493

We can always use more parks in our City!

Sandra Riehl (Long Beach, 2021-01-05)

#494

We need more green space on the West side! We already suffer enough the consequences of being boxed in by the 405, the 710, the 91, the airport and the ports!

Karin Wasinger (Long Beach, 2021-01-05)

#497

Connect the Riverpark system.

John Osborn (Long Beach , 2021-01-05)

SAMUEL PORTILLO (Long Beach, 2021-01-05)

#503

We need more parks, not parking lots!

Nathan Johnson (Long Beach, 2021-01-05)

#507

I am signing this Petition on behalf of me and my family because we need more green space not more construction and this is the perfect opportunity to create a beautiful park. This would be a giant unneeded eyesore that will not benefit the health of our beautiful community!!

Dennis Cook (Long Beach, 2021-01-05)

#508

The Long Beach environment needs more green space, not more concrete. This development clearly goes against the wishes of the citizens that live in the surrounding area.

Lynda Martinez (Long Beach, 2021-01-05)

#509

I feel is imperative to understand and know the environment you plan to develop in order to keep citizens safe. Anything less is negligence.

Gary Rodgers (Long beach, 2021-01-05)

#510

I'm signing because it will reduce property values in the area if this area is allowed to be developed as a industrial parking site.

Chris Lechner (Long Beach, 2021-01-05)

#511

Our community could use more parks and open spaces. The construction is concerning due to the uninvestigated health implications of the project.

Sam Kushner-Lenhoff (Long Beach, 2021-01-05)

#513

This is not what was told to us when we purchased our home here.

Cathy Margulies (Long Beach, 2021-01-05)

#514

The west side needs and deserves more green space!

Bonnie Gasior (LONG BEACH, 2021-01-05)

#519

Please please please have the Department of Toxic Substances Control complete a study of the site. I have good reason to believe that the soil there is contaminated.

I am a resident of Virginia Vista Court, about 1/2 mile from the 3701 Pacific Place Project. During a big wind storm just before Thanksgiving, our little enclave was inundated by massive amounts of dust from the Pacific Place Project. This wind storm lasted all day and I've never seen so much dirt flying in the air for so long before, and my family has lived here for 50 years. And because the land at Pacific Place Project had oil wells on it and later it was used as a waste dump for the petroleum industry I am very afraid that the dust is contaminating not only our area but the Los Cerritos Elementary School where hundreds of children could also be exposed to toxic contaminants. Please please please have the Department of Toxic Substances Control complete a study of the site.

Thank you.

Nancy Niver (Long Beach, 2021-01-05)

#522

I am so disappointed with the greed of developers. My community is deteriorating and we want to preserve the quality of our neighborhoods.

Jennifer Nelson (Long Beach, 2021-01-05)

#523

We need more green spaces in West Long Beach!

Chelsea Guerrero (Long Beach, 2021-01-05)

#524

i am not interested in toxic waste being invited into the environment where we live work and raising our families....

Shellee Pollard (Long Beach , 2021-01-05)

#526

I am a West Long Beach resident and we need more parks for a thriving community!

Veronica Aguilar (Long Beach, 2021-01-06)

#530

Me and my almost 2 years old go to Los Cerritos park a lot which is right next to where the construction is. So we do not want any parking space as parking space increases the temperature during summer. Also when we have rain, parking space does not absorb rain water instead just collect all the toxic substances and goes into the river. And also parking makes easier to flood.

Akane Tada (Long Beach , 2021-01-06)

#531

I believe in more parks for this city

Kim Hughes (Long Beach , 2021-01-06)

#532

It's important for the community to have a park and not an eye sore

Cristina Alvarado (Signal Hill, 2021-01-06)

#534

I want the city to keep it's promise to give this side of the city a green space and stop doing backdoor negotiations with the developer. We deserve better! We need an EIR!

Katrina Mosher (Long Beach , 2021-01-06)

#536

We need more green space!!

Tara Minton (Long Beach , 2021-01-06)

#537

The city if long beach needs more green space. Have a family oriented city and a place we can take our family for a walk. Lets make the correct decision.

Clemente Valdovinos (Long Beach, 2021-01-06)

#545

I worry about the environmental impact. I know this lot has lots of toxins dumped and has not been properly cleaned. I also understand that this land was supposed to be a green area, I would love it.

stephanie turner (Long Beach , 2021-01-06)

#546

I am a professor at CSULB and I teach about reproductive and environmental justice issues. This is an environmental justice in Long Beach. The folks living in this part of Long Beach deserve representation and protection from environmental harms.

Lori Baralt (Long Beach , 2021-01-06)

#547

We need green space more than we need another parking lot

John Susoeff (Long Beach, 2021-01-06)

#550

I'm signing because we need open spaces in this part of the city. Also there has been a long time plan to revitalize the LA River. We want this land as open space and to provide a buffer from the freeways.

Jody Johnson (Long Beach, 2021-01-06)

#552

We need a clean, safe, green park -- NOT a parking lot!

Joy Zadaca (Long Beach, 2021-01-07)

#553

More green space for Districts 7 & 8

Bruce Alton (Long Beach, 2021-01-07)

#560

I don't want possible parkland turned into a parking lot. Parkland is at a premium in west long beach

BobandMargie Goble (Long Beach, 2021-01-08)

#561

We need green space to heal the earth; not another parking lot adjacent to residential properties and communities.

Carlos Paret (Long Beach, 2021-01-08)

#572

The west side of Long Beach has been neglected for years. Nothing is ever done on the west side. The VERY least we can get is more green space. We are already the front line of receiving terrible air quality due to the refinery’s.

Efren Melena (Long Beach , 2021-01-09)

#575

We do not need yet more development, that land will be much better used by creating the originally planned park. It will benefit the residents of LB, and planting native vegetation will benefit the environment and the residents along that corridor who live with respiratory issues.

Aparna Nayak (Long Beach, 2021-01-09)

#576

We need more green spaces - not concrete!

Carol Duberowski (Long Beach, 2021-01-09)

#577

We need more green spaces.

Jaime Estrada (Long Beach, 2021-01-10)

#578

I want more parks for our community

oliver fuentes (Long Beach, 2021-01-10)

#585

I am afraid of the toxins in the soil at the site. A full EIR would help determine if construction is safe and will not release toxins into our already polluted air.

William Frankenfeld (LONG BEACH, 2021-01-10)

#588

We cannot continue to place the burden of environmental degradation onto already marginalized and mistreated communities.

Michael Sallwasser (Long Beach, 2021-01-11)

#590

Stop allowing companies to police themselves and do a real environmental study on this location. And, a park would enhance the area rather than a storage facility.

Maggie Paez (Long Beach, 2021-01-11)

#592

The impact of environmental racism is felt strongly for many communities in Long Beach. Neglecting to follow through with a full Environmental Impact Report only furthers this injustice faced by communities of color in the area. Furthermore, the lack of study or analysis of likely significant tribal artifacts and/or cultural resources that are present and could be harmed or lost during development is yet another example of casting aside the history of marginalized members of the community.

Simone Rivadeneira (Long Beach, 2021-01-11)

#593

I’m signing because I live in this neighborhood and we need more outside green space rather than more parking lots

ALYSSA NOU (LONG BEACH, 2021-01-11)

#595

I want more green space in Long Beach. We do not need another RV and self storage facilities.

Please make more open spaces.

Robert Van Atta (Long Beach, 2021-01-11)

#596

I oppose the development on 3701 Pacific Place. A green space is needed here for all to enjoy. I am a resident in the area and I do not want a self-storage and 578 RV parking spaces - it does not fit the character of our neighborhood. We were promised a green space!

Kawthar Kasim (Long Beach, 2021-01-12)

#597

I want a park not another parking lot covered with asphalt.

Ewa Enrique (Long Beach , 2021-01-12)
